Well, when they swapped my Ramipril for Entresto 49/51 I felt drowsy and unsteady and it upset my liver causing a cancer scare. I was also told it was some kind of wonder drug, they also tried to increase my dose saying I would feel marvellous, I got the impression they were pushing this relatively new drug a little too hard, Since my GP found that it was Entresto causing my problems I no longer take them or Ramipril and feel the best I have since my HA in Feb 20, My meds are now Bisoprolol 10mg, Apixaban 10mg, Atorvastatin 80mg and Aspirin.

Hope your cardiologist is happy with the withdrawal of medication!

The cardiologist deals with your heart only, your GP oversees everything and can therefore strike a balance of medication taking all aspects of that person into consideration

Hopefully after consultation with the specialist who prescribed that medication in the first place.

But of course, everything is done with consultation

Hello all I can offer is if "they " the specialists think it will help you, you should take it. It can only be offered by Cardiology not your GP, so someone thinks it will do you good. I have had my Bisoprolol changed a couple of times since being on Entresto from 10mg down to 7.5mg and back to 10mg, due to low heart rate.Try it you can always come off it if it doesn't suit you ! Out of curiosity do you have Heart Failure and what is your current E F ??

Vaccinated twice to try to Stay safe

Hi Herb

Since being on Entresto my EF has stabilised at around 40% in my case it won't get any better due to damage to my heart. I have had an HA and Bypass surgery, followed by a couple of stents. So I am on the Entresto to keep things stable which was my Cardiologists remark last time I had an echocardiogram " He appears to remain Stable " which I saw as a good result. In my personal case I have been down as low as 27 % so I take anything that will help lol. I meet the criteria for a CRT ( cardio resynch therapy ) which is a type of pacemaker but my cardio wants to wait, so wait I will.

September is the next time I see Cardiologist and Heart Failure Nurse to see how things are going, but in my case I have a good GP who I can speak to

I have had both of those but they never told me about the EF thank you it's amazing all the things one has to learn about one's own health and body

Hey.I am on entresto, been on it a fair few months now. I am on the lowest dose which is 24/26mg as my blood pressure is now low so can't go onto the next stages. I'm on it for dilated cardiomyopathy and my ejection fraction is 10-15%. Just had an ICD fitted.

I've not had no issues with this medication so far. I have bisoprolol with it too. All other medications stopped as my body can't handle it.
