Side affects of Rampiril

Hi everyone

Currently on ramipril and have been for around 8 weeks now. Most recently I have just been up titrated to the highest dose 10mg and have been experience a lot of muscle twitches and short stabbing pains in my wrists, thumb, legs and neck. I’ve also got a tingling sensation in my feet, not like pins and needles but slight tingling.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Best getting back onto your doctor. Ramapril doesn't suit everyone and a few on here in the past have had problems with the drug. There are others they can put you on. Take care. Brian

Hi there. I have been on 5mg Ramipril for about four years. I have experienced muscle spasms, and pin prick pains. I hadn’t thought about it being the Ramipril, because I’m on so many other meds. I have recently been put on a different Statin, because of these pains. I guess that it could be the Ramipril causing the spasms. I will mention it to my GP, if I can get an appointment with her for this year. 🙄 Goodluck I hope that you get it sorted out. Chris.

Hello this came to me as I am on Ramiprill. On 10mg half am half pm since 2014 7 years. I used to have very cold feet now ok. I have 7 other tablets a day so have over the time a number of things but they go away sometimes in a short. I do not know which tablet causes which symptom / side effect. Hope you are ok.

Hi shannon l to have just had my 5mg rampril uppted to 10mg l get real bad pains in my hands it's like by my thumbs sometimes it's really nasty sharp also a feeling like l cant breath freely l was put on higher dose because of spikes at night but have recently lost mom so feel a bit anxious and panicky sometimes.can l ask why yours were upped.
