I've been taking these for just over a week now as felodipine didn't suit. I've developed stomach cramps and wondered if it's connected to ramipril. Doctor s surgery is not available so cannot ask any questions

I’d suggest you see your pharmacist and ask for advice. He or she can give a medicine review and discuss this with you, along with any other medicine you take. If you’re in the UK pharmacists are ready willing and able to do this and are more clued up that doctors about side effects and drug interactions
Hi Eviedog. I agree with Happyrosie about speaking to your pharmacist but also have you checked the side effects on the Patient Information leaflet in the Ramipril box?
I only had the tickly cough side effect but kept me awake all night, so changed them.
I developed the annoying cough with Ramipril too.. just as we were beginning to hear about Covid 19 (December 2019 - March 2020), my doctor put me on Losartan instead and the cough disappeared! I've had no side effects at all with them.
hi i too have had a dry tickly cough while on ramipril .1.25 and pounding heart and poundin in the top of my back .dr said she doesent think its the ramipril but it seem to me it could be as i was ok untill i started on this 8 weeks ago and each day im wrose .so the dr sugested leaving it of for a 4 weeks see how i am xx
Did you have Any other side effects on Ramipril and has it helped your blood pressure. I have been prescribed it and due to start soon.
Hi there, no, no other side effects. It's doing its job with the blood pressure but keeping me awake. I also have acid reflux so have to make my mind up whether it's that or ramipril that's making me cough.
I also have acid reflux 😂 my only concern with taking it is the dreaded cough that apparently comes with it.
Hi again, not everyone gets it apparently. I've been told there are lots of other meds to try if these don't suit. Am missing my bananas though😒
Really? I haven't been told anything about diet wise. All I was told from my doctors was to take 1 a day 😬. How are you feeling now?
