So pleased
I was told I had NASH a year last October. As a result, I was sent for a Fibroscan and my kpa reading was 36.6. My liver image looked white with fat.I have type 2 diabetes, gall stones and a hiatus hernia. I was floored by the diagnosis and stressed so much. My anxiety level went through the roof. I

Bowel irrigation (Not "colonic irrigation")
I have obstructed defecation (anismus) which has not responded to biofeedback etc. The next step is at home bowel irrigation and I am just waiting for an appointment with the bowel nurse to issue me with the equipment. It would be helpful to hear of anyone`s experience with this. I don`t know which

High GGT Level
Morning All, so my GGT level is now up to 136 & my GP has requested a liver scan, I’m still waiting for the appointment. I’ve been virtually teetotal for 5 years, just the occasional drink on special occasions. I do/have taken a lot of paracetamol & codeine due to headaches from a previous brain operation

Hello, I wondered if you might be able to advise me on my recent test results from Thriva? Blood taken at 11.30 am fasting. I had taken Levo at 10 pm previous night. I'm taking Solgar sub lingua B12 which includes folate - do I need to stop this and change to just B complex to bring down B12? Is

Went to ER today. hoping someone can better explain this
A little about me I’m 27 yr old female, and I’ve had on and off episodes of binge drinking for 5 years or so with a year or two of abstinence in there as well. Today I went to the ER after a few day binge and turns out my pain is due to gallstones but when I asked how my liver looked on the ultrasound

Dietary restrictions and the workplace...
Hi all,I am wondering what your experiences with working and your diet? My department got rewarded with a pizza party. I requested a salad to accommodate low sodium diet. I was told no special treatment. Won't be showing up to that lunch despite being the team lead. Thoughts? Am I being the unreasonable

Flare up after a pretty settled period
Two years ago I had a massive flare and was in a lot of pain / extreme fatigue. I was on prednisolone which was like a magic cure initially and then caused a host of gastric problems. I also trialled methotrexate tablets and methotrexate injections and really struggled with the side effects. After about

A tiny cutie
Hello EveryoneJust had to show you this little 'cutie', a harvest mouse clinging to a daffodil in North Yorkshire. Adults can weigh less than 10 grams!. Hope we see more Signs of Spring over Easter. Our dwarf tulips are almost out, lovely fiery red!. Shame weather has changed to wet and grey. Hope

8 months since first post..new results and questions
8 months on from my first noobie post on the forum asking for help. I’m pretty pleased with this, feeling so much better than I did, the advice here has been life changing. Still work to do, very achy, limited capacity to do anything outside of turning up to work/home stuff but that is an improvement

Fosamax (Alendronate) Question
Hi again, I'm a GCA patient that was diagnosed in AUG 2022, started at 60 mg PRED and finally down to 20 MG after 7 months. I was a previous PMR patient about 8 years ago as well, having taken about 6 years to decrease the PRED to zero. At my most recent rheumy visit, he suggested that I start taking

Food Sensitivities
Any advice on working out food sensitivities? I did the “Happy Gut” diet a couple of years ago which is low FODMAP, vegan and gluten-free. I felt great on it initially and was starting to reintroduce foods when I became really anaemic and had to stop (I don’t think vegan is for me!). I have recently

Fibrocscan results
Hi all. Thought I’d give an update after my previous few posts. Fibroscan results were good, 4.9 KPA - which I’m amazed at after my drinking history. Was told by the specialist to ignore my slightly elevated AST and to not bother keep testing it. Most likely muscle damage from the very physical job
