LOW CARB DIETS EXPECTATIONS AND PREDNISONE
I am beginning to think this is going to be an uphill battle !!! After a month on a low carb diet (under 50 mg carbs a day) I have only lost a couple of kilos !! Like many women my age (almost 67) I have been on and off numerous diets over the years - you name it I've tried it - and similarly (like most

Low inr - again
I guess my query straddles both weight loss and heart health as my inr has dropped to 1.6 despite being an optimum 2.3 the week before. This has happened two or three times over the past couple of months. I am aware of avoiding copious amounts of certain greens, but wonder if the no to very low carb

Confused!
Hi, I've been reading and reading, searching and searching, but I still can't find the answers - well maybe there isn't an answer, but I'm going to ask anyway. About 2 months ago I got a really unpleasant bitter taste in my mouth that won't go away. I had a gastroscopy and was told to take tablets (2x

For people using LCHF solely as a means to lose weight, that's a noble reason by itself. However, there is far more at risk healthwise if you get discouraged and go back to your previous eating regime. What you may be avoiding, or at least lowering, the risk of Alzheimer's, Parkinsons, liver, kidney

Feeling unsure
I’m not enjoying the LCHF experience at all. I really don’t like the feel and taste of high fat. I need to be able to have easy cold lunches for work (that isn’t chia seed pudding 🤢). And my house now smells like a deep fat fryer! So BBQ tea today, I think that will work with LCHF? I’ll have a go at

I don’t quite understand...
So I am considering the LCHF as a complete change to the low fat, low GI plan I’ve been using. However I’ve just logged an apple which MFP tells me has 21g carbs. That’s over the 20g daily limit already. The yoghurt was 12g carbs. Have I totally misunderstood that limit?

Hey everyone, On first cycle of IVF, having had egg collection and fresh embryo transfer in October 2018. I have been on Suprecur for a couple of weeks and just started Elleste Solo. Double embryo transfer is scheduled for 7th March; I'm told it is very rare for the date to be moved so have just booked

Itching
I haven't been on this site for some time, so please forgive me if you've heard this all before. I was diagnosed in 2011 as having PBC, but I was itching constantly from about 2008. I was put on Ursofalk, which relieved a little, but not much, of the itching. I was happily taking my Ursofalk until

What should I do?
Hi, everyone. I’m AMA-negative but I was diagnosed with PBC several years ago based on high ALP, high ALT, high GGT, high cholesterol, dry eyes and mouth, and osteoporosis. I recently had an abdominal ultrasound which showed that the gallbladder is 1/3 filled with stones (according to the technician
