Back after 5 years? Update!!
I'm 67 but still have a desire to be active, love
cycling
and getting outdoors. I won't bore with the details, but recent decline in my condition resulted in foot complications due to lack of blood supply. This resulted in a bypass operation in March to restore the blood flow.

Using Omron BP meter
But I don't have the problems that many folk seem to have; just breathless when walking/
cycling
uphill and sometimes a bit lightheaded (never passed out).

Post stent chest sensations
I smoked daily for around a decade before my cancer, but only 1-3 cigarettes most days so wasn't that heavy and I was otherwise pretty active and healthy, eating mindfully, walking and
cycling
daily, and more intensive exercise once a week or so.

Hyperaldosteronism
I appear to have a '
cycling
' version, thereof. After a couple of months of distressing symptoms caused by Spironolactone; just this afternoon, I have received a 'trial' prescription of Eplerenone. I have yet, to take my first dose.

Covid Pneumonia - Recovery!
Since Christmas i've been
cycling
and doing lots of walking, pretty much activity every day. My legs have finally responded and are functioning normally, other than my quadriceps tendon, an old injury! I still have a little neck pain too, mainly mild muscular issues.

Trimix Problems
After 8 months, that's close to the best I've come up with,
cycling
thru low dose to 40 units, high dose to 40 units, and I'm now at 45 units of bimix because the injection and post "erection" pain was so great.

'The wheel is come full circle' - King Lear 5:3
It occurred to me that I had not reported back on my weekend of
cycling
. How remiss! Well here it is. Saturday was the sportive, with 37 miles including a couple of rather sharp Cotswold hills. However the challenge was Betty.

Prostate - my PSA is sharply up
I am to have another blood-test in a month to see if my PSA is down from 10, and for a few days before I am to refrain from
cycling
and sexual activity. This last: does that mean sexual effort? ejaculation? both? I didn't like to ask the lady. What do others think?

Sun screen
Hi Folks, today I had one of my many
cycling
rides which always includes a stop at a tea room where I know there will be other cyclists so it is also a good social event. Before setting off I diligently apply my factor 50 sunscreen to my face and today also my legs as I dared to wear shorts.

Slow recovery and set backs after angiogram and stent
On the Wednesday after a morning work and then
cycling
to an appointment to have my ears de waxed I felt really faint so I went to A&E who did the usual tests and could find nothing wrong so I went home. I took the next morning off and cycled to look at a new job.

Lean muscle, raised metabolism and feeling warm all the time (further points added at the end)
Pilates and resistance training for me keeps my HR rate down under 120 bpm or zones 1 to 2 which is very gentle aerobic mainly fat burning and creates next to no cortisol- much as gentle walking or
cycling
does 5.
