So 9 months after heart attack and stent treatment I'm now off 2 pills Colpidogrel and Ramipril. Still taking 3 but feel it's positive. Always been active and healthy and many hobbies so this was a mega shock. But now feeling great getting back to most of my activities and my lovely 9 month old border collie Alfie. he's been a mega help. Had a great day cycling something that I did almost every day so was brilliant. Onwards and upwards for me I hope. Positive thinking people. Feeling good πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Great to read and thanks for posting. Really pleased for you!

Your situation sounds exactly like mine. Always active, fit and seemingly healthy then boom. HA stents, meds etc. I’m 2 months post my HA and a month since being told I have a LVT so I’m focused on dealing with that then hoping to start rehab at some point.

Is 9 months the normal expectation for getting back to some normal exercise? I suppose everyone is different so difficult to gauge…

Cheers

Congratulations on your great recovery 22Alfie, and thank you for sharing your positive post - posts like this are always lovely to read. I'm female and 63yrs-old and also due to stop Clopidogrel and Lanzoprazole this Wednesday one year after a HA & triple by-pass. Wishing you many more years of health and happiness - and feeling good!πŸ˜€ Carol x πŸ‘

Yes keep positive. I'm female and 66yrs now. So light at the end of the tunnel. Pardon the punt. πŸ˜€πŸ˜‚πŸ‘x

Well done keeping positive. Keep enjoying the cycling. Physical activity certainly helps with the mental recovery after a HA. I found getting back to hill walking very beneficial.

Your post has reminded me that I must get out on my bike this year. We missed last year as we didn't take them with us on holiday and the few suitable paths around here don't actually join up. Probably time to wear something very bright and set off down a few country lanes. πŸ˜€
