Hi everyone hope you are doing well last July in the heatwave I became really ill & ended up in hospital. I had pneumonia but to me it felt very weird because I was very hot & the doctors said my heart rate is above 120 & I was given steroids & antibiotics. I was struggling to stay cool & also struggling

THRUSH
I am an old man. For the last 2 years I have had thrush as diagnosed by my doc. I have tried Canesten and Lexerma they work temporarily but are otherwise useless, . A special (expensive) shower gel- is equally useless. It is no big deal and does not affect my life really but won't go away mildly painful

Covid Antivirals
I know some people are eligible for these. I’ve been exposed to covid and I’m pretty sure I’m about to get it, ironically for the first time also. I don’t have copd but fairly full on chronic bronchitis. I’m concerned that it’l be a rough dose . Whats the criteria for getting antivirals for covid?

Hi Sue
I take 1200 mg gabapentin but in bed, 600mg getting into bed, and then 600mg in the middle of the night. This is partly because I have mild ADHD and am quite forgetful. But I don't suffer from RLS anything like some of the poor folk on here. Also I take the following supplements . 1g of vit c. 300 mg

nebuliser recommendations?
I’m hoping to give nebulised saline a go and was wondering is there much difference in types of nebulisers? It would be for the low % saline as this hasn’t been prescribed by my consultant. Thought it may help to clear some much (chronic bronchitis) as I seem to be tied all the time lately- chest feel

Valium RLS
Is anyone using Valium/diazepam or any other benzo to treat RLS? The Horizant that I’ve been using for the last year and a half isn’t working as well as it used to.

Does anyone suffer from terrible heat in veins and arteries(skin) yet raynaud's at the same time? But can also be shaking with cold inside - if that makes sense! I have Sjogren's and Systemic sclerosis but all the Doctors ignore the intolerable symptom of hot and cold I suffer

bladder cancer
I have bladder cancer, I am 85 years old, to take out bladder is out of the question. I will have BCG first for 6 weeks and after that probably some chemo. Has anyone had this I would like to know more about it.

Cold medication
Hello, I think I may be coming down with a cold. I seldom get one and usually rely on Beecham hot lemon powders or similar. However I am now on edoxaban and Bisoprolol and I am wondering what cold medication, other than paracetamol, it is safe to take? Thanks in advance, for any advice!

ADT relief
I exercise often but still wrestle with muscle and joint aches and pains. On a 1 - 10 scale the aches and pains have been magnified 3 - 6X of what they were pre-Lupron. It seems like my low back aches have been consistent 2x-plus since the Lupron Any suggestions on ache and pain relief from adt? Does

Navage?
Many of us (most?) suffer from sinus issues and we have our own tools to deal with these issues. My weapons of choice are Saline spray followed by Flonase before I go to bed. Works pretty well except for right now during allergy season. However, I've been hearing many advertisements for the Navage

Almost died of flu, pneumonia and sepsis - will the fear of death go away?
Hi all, I'm so happy there's an online community for people who've been in an ICU! I'm 53 years old and prior to this thought I was really healthy. I'm a hillwalker and regularly climb large Scottish mountains. The consultants in the hospital kept referring to me as "young and fit" which does wonders

thrush ahead of FET
Hi there. I’ve been on a course of 2 strong types of antibiotics due to an infection caused by an ectopic pregnancy. It has seemingly caused me to get thrush (must be connected as haven’t had thrush for about 20 years). I’m likely to be having my next FET in approximately 3 weeks so is taking an over

WimHof style methods to help us hypos..
https://www.morozkoforge.com/post/hashimoto My son has been taking cold showers for the past month and feeling much better for it - there appears to be various links to thyroid health and cold water treatments - some suggest splashing very cold water over the hyroid area each morning and some go further
