Update
So my GP was on leave and I saw a locum. He was alarmed at my shortness of breath but I practically ran from the bus stop as the bus was significantly late and I caught an earlier for exactly that reason. There's a gp surgery 5 mins from me but it's not in my area? but this one more than 2 miles away

Smokers flu??
Hello! I am on day 10 not smoking (wooo) and I know I will never smoke again. However, over the past week I have had the worst flu of my life and have been in bed most of the weekend. I am starting to feel better today but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this after quitting? I don’t know

Cold weather wear?
Hi all! I'm contemplating my first park run next weekend, but I don't know how to dress to run in cold weather. It's expected to be 3°C / 38°F and mostly sunny. Is that "normal wear but with a sweatshirt, and something warm to put on at the end"? Thanks in advance for your collective wisdom. :)

Colds and AF
Been a bit of a season for it for me this year, back at work for my full hours since September. Little one started nursery over the summer and both me and the OH (who doesn't have AF) seem to be picking up every cold she brings home! The eldest seems to escape and has had maybe two in the same timeframe

Week 4 done & cold showers!
Felt pretty rough out there this morning (late night and wine!!) and came home after the run feeling dreadful, but am definitely tired & dehydrated after last night, so not too worried about that. Anyone else trying cold showers? I’ve been having cold showers (well - warm shower first to actually wash

Dry, asthma like cough. Could it be thyroid?
** UPDATE: Second doctor confirms likely viral chest infection. Prescribed rest, fluids and paracetamol for the fever. Also gives prescription for antibiotics should it begin to show signs of bacterial infection. Thanks all for guiding me to a second opinion. ** Hello all, I wonder if you can help

Side effect or sickness?
I was on Augmentin for a sinus infection. On the last day of the antibiotic, January 31st, I started taking imbruvica/ibutinib. The next day I felt great. Two days after starting I came down with a horrible cough and stuffy sinuses. Some days I don't have the cough and feel fine and then the cough

Mum has lost her battle
Sadly mum lost her battle with this horrible disease on Tuesday morning, she became very poorly on Thursday evening and taken into hospital. The pneumonia was just to much this time for her to fight and she passed on Tuesday morning with all of us with her. She is finally at rest.

Tingling feet
Hi , I am taking levothyroxine 50 and 75 alternating each morning , my doctor said I was slightly high on 75 so have dropped to 50 every other night My problem is that for a few months now I have been getting what I would describe as the chills which makes the hairs on my skin stand up and get goosebumps

Flu jab
Hi all Just wondering if others with mpns have had the flu jab? I have ET jak2 + and it was recommended by my gp I have the flu jab. I have a few other health issues as well as ET. I believe it should be ok because it's not a live vaccine ? But I did think it was a bit late in the day to have the vac

Cough will not go away
Hi, I have asthma and drug-induced interstitial lung disease. I take microphenolate to stabilise my condition. I recently had a head-cold that led to a cough. The cold has gone but the cough remains and is unrelenting. When I move around, I start coughing and it takes at least 10 minutes for me to settle
