An explanation of how we got here, why Covid19 is NOT the same as seasonal flu and why the measures matter
We have had several replies on the forum from people who think this is much ado about nothing. We know there are people who don't see the importance of hand washing, of social distancing and avoiding crowded places. And even more so for the members of this and other HU communities who are distressed

PD and cold/flu remedies
I just read that these are incompatible with certain types of PD medication such as Azilect. I wasn’t aware of this. Does anybody know which meds other than the one mentioned and WHY? Thanks

I've been self-isolating since being sent home from work Friday morning with a cough and flu-like symptoms, I don't know if hopefully I'm feeling well by Friday if I should just go back to work or check with a go or rheumatologist, any advise would be greatly appreciated

Invalid Spirometry?
I contracted flu in late January and was really poorly.A couple of doctor’s appointments showed low blood oxygen levels and a spirometery test was booked as a result of being an ex smoker, The results showed moderate damage, however the nurse performing the test ordered a chest X-ray as I was still breathless

Hi everyone Does anyone know if it would still be helpful to have the pneumonia vaccine ? I was offered it before Christmas but I only had the flu one ? It seems like on the Rheumatology website they were saying it could prevent secondary infections

Ibrutinib covid immune system
May be anybody already did research. I My pneumonia vaccination is out of time. I asked my Dr if I can do vaccination under acalabrutinib. The response I can do vaccination but it is very unlikely that antibodies will be developed. The actual question is it better to stop ibrutinib with flu/covid symptoms

Back on track
Have had to give myself a break from the programme, two and a half weeks, after a nasty bout of flu and bronchitis. I have been champing at the bit somewhat whilst convalescing. I'm more or less back to full fitness (unfitness?) now but still a bit chesty and mild cough. This morning I decided I am not
