I exercise often but still wrestle with muscle and joint aches and pains. On a 1 - 10 scale the aches and pains have been magnified 3 - 6X of what they were pre-Lupron. It seems like my low back aches have been consistent 2x-plus since the Lupron
Any suggestions on ache and pain relief from adt?
Does glucosamine help the joints?
Tumeric for the muscles?
Any supplement suggestions?

Lupron seems to be the first line of defence for most Doctors but there are ADT treatments out there that have less side effects. I could not tolerate Lupron but it worked & I had nothing for years until PSA rose to 19, was on Firmagon & now Zoladex with PSA now 1.
Tumeric seems to mask SE but still need some extra to do Gym sessions, like L-carnitine.
I workout 4-6 days a week. I have tons of muscle pain from lifting heavy. I take prescription Naproxen as needed. I take Glucosamine for joint aches but still have them now and then. For joint pain I use KT tape, stuff works wonders. It is the same product professional athletes use while playing and afterwards. Great stuff
When I started ADT I continued to run almost daily, but didn’t work out with dumbbells. As a consequence I lost all my muscles everywhere, except the ones on my legs. When my doctor looked at my thin arms and made a comment, it was time to start weight lifting. Today I‘m in pretty good shape again, regained a lot of muscle mass.
When I started weight lifting I got a lot of pain in my lower back. That was, because I overused my lower back muscles when lifting weights, rather than using my arms muscles (which were gone). My detour was to do arms weight lifting while sitting in a chair and at the same time starting lower back muscle training. You find great Youtube videos from HASFIT in the internet. They also offer specific lower back training - it’s all free of charge and it really works great.
Today I have no back pain and I even run mich faster again as my overall body is in better shape now. Do I have muscle and joint pain? Yes, but on a scale from 1-10 it’s around 1-3 in the morning and then goes down to 0-1 during the day.
Maybe this helps. Start with lower reps/sets and relatively low weight. I started with dumbbells of 2 kg and now I‘m working with 4-5 kg.
Mostly ride a road bike 100+ miles a week. When the weather is good I'll get a few 2 - 5 mile hikes in a month too. I uses to have a really strong yoga practice pre pandemic and pre PCa. I struggle with energy and motivation with the Lupron. I need more sleep. I'm more sleepy than before Lupron - I'm sure that getting up to pee at night now is part of that. Also I have noticed the memory / brain fog issue too.
Hopefully I will have good 2 year results but only time will tell my specific journey.
I've been taking Triple Strength Joint Soother from Puritan's Pride for over 30 years. Arthritic knees. It sure works for me. Glucosamine phosphate, chondroitin, MSM.
I had to Google SARM....now I know why the abbreviation was used. Seems not safe, especially for APC.People also ask
What does SARM do to your body?
More than half of SARMs users experienced side effects including mood swings, decreased testicular size, and acne. More than 90% of men reported increased muscle mass and were satisfied with their SARMs usage. Despite having seemingly positive effects, more than 50% of SARMs users report significant adverse effects.Sep 1, 2021

Are SARMs safe?
SARMs can pose a risk when taken for performance enhancement and without consulting a health care professional. SARMs should be avoided, as they can result in potentially life-threatening consequences. SARMs may be listed on the product label (with names like “ostarine” and “andarine”).
When injecting something not common in the APC glossary (SARM, PED, etc)...then common sense says to spell it out when first used. I have often seen where abbreviations are used to disguise things. I much prefer seeing Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators...to know immediately what it is in our APC reality...and which systems it might impact. The idea is to help educate and stimulate discussion (even when not in agreement with original posting)....so helpful to others to make it easy to understand. Did you have any studies to cite that are helpful to educate people? Thanks.
Thanks, I'm expecting one of my doctors to start prescribing it probably sometime next month. I'm on Orgovyx and want to protect my bones and relieve hot flushes.
My husband was prescribed once daily meloxicam 15 MG recently for significant back pain from severe arthritis (not mets). Meloxicam is a powerful prescription NSAID which cannot be used with other NSAIDS but can be used with acetomenophin. He was surprised at how well meloxicam worked to help with the pain.
