It is all about attitude not cancer

Blocked from return to work w/ controlled asthma?
Hi, I know many people are worried about returning to work during the current situation because they are asthmatic, but I seem to have the opposite issue - my work medical unit blocked my return because I'm asthmatic, but my asthma is totally controlled and I take one inhalation of seretide accuhaler

Trying Omeprazole
Hi, I was diagnosed as asthmatic 14 years ago after a chest infection that went on for months. I was stable with very few symptoms for 10 years then had a chest infection that triggered my asthma. I wheezed and coughed phlegm for 6 months after. Next winter another chest episode, again took months

Pneumonia booster necessary or not?
I had the pneumonia vaccination in December 2014 - almost 6 years ago, and a couple of weeks ago I asked my haematology consultant if I should have the booster. He thought I should, but wasn't 100% sure, so he said to ask my doctors surgery nurse. So I asked the surgery nurse, and she said it was only

Lung Hyperinflation
Does anyone know what health effects lung hyperinflation on its own can have? I had my lung function test on Friday and was told I have this, it fits with the bullae that I was told about. I’m struggling to find much about it on the internet. Not sure when my appointment with the respiratory consultant

Clenil making cough worse
Hi everyone, newbie here! Doctor thinks I may have cough variant asthma as I have an ongoing dry cough (bark) for years now... they always put it down to allergies as my peak flow didn’t indicate asthma, anyway they have now given me Clenil with a spacer which I have religiously taken for one week twice

Get your flu shot: It might shield you from severe COVID.
The coronavirus and the flu are two entirely different viruses. But a new study suggests those who get a flu vaccine face a considerably lower risk for being hospitalized if and when they get COVID-19. And the flu vaccine also appears to significantly reduce a COVID-19 patient's risk for ending up in

Hubby’s mycotoxin results for anyone who is interested
Here are his results. Eek. Other results were zero. So today I did a deep clean of the bedroom , new pillows, washed bedding, vacuumed under and behind everything, cleared bags etc in bottom of wardrobes and removed most things to garage and wiped everything down with white vinegar. Bought new dust

Husband still in hospital
Husband still in hospital and its now 14 days. His pneumonia really taken it toll on him, he had thrush in his mouth. Starting to improve slowly. Just wondering how poorly would he had been if he didn't have his pneumonia injection last year. I feel so far away from him, when he's down I can't buck him

Live Vaccines
I read somewhere that while suffering with PMR and on prednisone one should avoid live vaccines. I’m due for a pneumonia shot so wondering if it qualifies as a live vaccine.
