Hello
Hello I am a mom to a 10 year old boy who is newly diagnosed with Multi Generation ADHD/Anxiety. We knew that there was some behavioral issues since he was young but didn't think is was ADHD because we never received complaints from his teachers. All his issues occurred at home. He was always very irritable

I've been either sleeping too much someday or not at all. Besides melatonin does anyone know of a over the counter sleep aid I can use for those nights that are impossible for me to sleep?! Thanks in advance.

Alcohol, PD, and brain cell death
Don't misunderstand my question. I don't want to rehash old questions on these words. Simply, given a case of PD, does FURTHER alcohol consumption (not alcohol abuse!) in an otherwise "healthy" patient cause further brain cell damage piled on top of the dopamine, serotonin, melatonin regulating brain

Help please for aggressive behavior
My son is 7 and has had his diagnosis of ADHD for a year. According to his psychiatrist it is severe and we agree. When not medicated he could stay in his seat in school but could not follow instructions or complete an assignment independently. That has improved significantly with hard work and meds.

Exercise with Hypothyroidism
A month ago I had the right side of my thyroid removed because of enlarged nodules. It started with a lump by my Adam's apple a year and half ago, which lead to an ultrasound that found the nodules. The surgeon said to wait and watch it for a year. During that year I continuously gained weight regardless

Sleep deprivation and panic attacks.
I dread night time. During the day, I’m able to use all my coping mechanisms and face anxiety head on, show it whose boss. But for some reason when it gets dark out, my nerves completely act up. I get terrible irrational thoughts, I get panic attacks, and sleep just sometimes becomes out of the question

Supplements for anxiety
I'm looking for input on dietary supplements that work for immediate anxiety situations. Meds don't work for my teen in the moment. We tried a couple but they made her "buzz." Her dr. has her using Benadryl to relax during stressful situations but it's not terribly effective. She takes one anxiety med

Monoamine oxidase.
New study below [1]. Don't be turned off by the title. The botton line is that a drug used as an anti-depressant might have a profound impact on PCa progression. Monoamine oxidase [MAO] is an enzyme family with two members. The new paper is concerned with MAO-A, which breaks down serotonin, melatonin

Hi everyone, I've been reading on and off for a number of years and not really knowing if I belong here. My platelets started to go up about 5 years ago, slowly, slowly, getting higher. but because I lost my spleen 42 years ago and apparently that can cause your platelets to go up, I was eventually

More on the Gathering Importance of a Healthy Biome in preventing Disease
Another interesting snippet on the 'Today' programme, this time from Professor Winston on discovering the importance of healthy vaginal bacteria in preventing premature births. He also speaks about the intensive interest and research now being shown by scientists in the biome and how, more and more

Anxiety Prescription-Home Treatments, Non-RX.
Supplements For Anxiety-Chelated Magnesium with OTC supplement or take an Epsom bath. Also StressTabs (Walmart vitamin section), California Poppy, Skullcap Tea (Find these two on eBay or Amazon) and Yogi Kava Stress Relief Tea (this is the easiest to get; they have it at Walmart and it is inexpensive
