Anxiety, depression and fatigue all together feels like a knot, and I don't know where to begin unraveling it.
26 year old male, inherited a generalized anxiety disorder from my mom's side of the family. I don't suffer from full blown panic attacks like those you read about in text books. My anxiety is usually just a constant white noise that makes it impossible to ever relax, the physical manifestation of flight

24 h saliva results - comments please
I just got results back for my 24 saliva test ordered from Genova Diagnostics. I was treated last year with high doses of cortisone for autoimmune encephalitis and have been having strange symptoms since weaning off it; I suspected my cortisol levels to be lowish but the opposite turned out to be true

Melatonin morning grogginess?
I’ve been taking 9mg melatonin for REM sleep disorder which has been pretty successful. Past few months, however, I’m REALLY groggy for a few hours in the morning. Has anyone else had this problem, and found a solution? Grogginess is much reduced at 6mg. But yelling while dreaming returns.

Questions about MSA
I'm new to this forum and live in British Columbia, Canada where there is really no support right now. I was diagnosed 2 years ago with dystonia (oral facial) that is responsive to L-dopa but it's much more than dystonia. I wrote a list for my appt. with the dystonia clinic...when? I won't even guess

Melatonin Tablets
My doctor has advised I take Melatonin to help with sleep issues. My problem is that hormones like the Pill and HRT made me very sick. Is melatonin a hormone that might have the same outcome. I guess I could try it and see but I keep hesitating. Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated. I will

How is PD connected to Restless Leg Syndrome?
Or is it? I had a mild degree of RLS for several years. It wasn't enough of a problem to warrant medical help. Over the past few months the restless leg has gotten worse. Coincidentally two years I was diagnosed with PD. I was on Sinemet for over a year. Stopped it and switched to amantadine

Anxiety affecting my sleep
I have been having a LOT of trouble sleeping lately. I take melatonin to help me sleep and normally it really helps but lately it doesn't help at all. I struggle to sleep for hours (it probably doesn't help that it's summer and my air conditioner is broken...) and the frustration of it all leads to horrible

Melatonin & PMR
I am having trouble sleeping for the first time since going on prednisone 8 months ago. I know part (maybe most) of the problem is since reducing to 7 mg I have pain in my shoulders so wake up frequently to turn over. Wondering if melatonin at night would help. Information online seems to indicate it

What do you do at night wRLS?
As my RLS has been especially acting up lately (2 hrs sleep), I wonder what sufferers do at night when the symptoms are relentless? I find I go to bed with a positive attitude telling myself tonight will be different, and when I wake up again and again, I’m so disgusted and angry. Sometimes I find myself

Madopar for RLS
I have had RLS since childhood and self diagnosed in 2000 when I was on Pergolide which was discontinued. They then put me into Madopar which was ineffective unless I combined it with Pramipexole 0.088. Having read all the dreadful things on this site for Pramipexole I have now changed to Pregabalin

Sharing Info about Melatonin - feedback appreciated.
Seems that Melatonin (an anti oxidant and anti inflammation agent) helps with the problem of frequent urination at night (Nocturia). It is well known that Melatonin regulates the sleep cycle. Some time back read that those with PD are lacking in Melatonin that is naturally produced by the body. The

Recent blood results. May I have your thoughts please
I was diagnosed Hashimoto's and take Metavive as prescribed by Dr P; it's whole bovine thyroid gland. Lately, I'm unconvinced that I'm taking enough because of being unable to shift some stubborn weight and chronic insomnia but also, I wanted to know what my thyroid status is without help, so I stopped

Low ovarian reserve - sharing info
I thought it would be good to have one post where all the ladies with low ovarian reserve can share info on what they think is worth doing/considering and what is not good in their experience. From my side: * supplements Dhea, inositol, melatonin * an idea: double stimulation (see my previous post

How Do I Deal With Neighbors????
I have horrible PTSD from my childhood that is connected with sexual and physical abuse. We have neighbors above us that constantly scream at eachother and throw things around. I've called the police 3 times in the 3 months we've lived here. The apartment complex's office says the neighbors will be evicted
