Am I becoming bulimic?
Hey guys. I need some advice, i'm becoming concerned that I am on the brink of developing an ED. My mother suffered from bulimia, so really I should be able to talk to her but feel that my family would be somewhat judgmental or wouldn't take me seriously, so I am here basically hoping someone will be

wooshing sound and stroke
A doctor can tell if your coronery artery is blocked by listening to a wooshing sound when the blood cant get through, but I thought my wooshing was venlafaxine withdrawal - ALWays get it checked out and good luck it could be the best thing you did.

Weight loss
Does anyone have experience with needing to loose weight after having an eating disorder? When I was in my teens I developed anorexia and bulimia. It didn't go to the extremes but it was enough to make me look ill and cause physical effects. Now I'm 31 and no matter how little/how much healthy food I

Hello! I'm new here, I am 23 and weigh ... a lot! I am looking to lose weight but always feel like I get a few days in to a diet and get bored. I can never think of new recipes and barely ever have time to prep (work and laziness I guess). I am easily influenced by the bakers next door to my work

Oldest Anorexic?
Hi, I am new to this site and thought I had put this behind me. I suffered from anorexia as a teenager but recovered and went on to have three children and lead a fairly normal life. I have also suffered from IBS and more recently diverticulitis. This seems to have taken me back to a cycle of not eating

Struggling to eat enough
Hello, I've been lurking for ages and reading lots. I made a resolution at Easter to lose some weight and have been using the calorie guidelines from the BMI calculator on the NHS website. I am not yet really exercising more but the eating thing is working. I have lost about 1 stone steadily going

Intermittent Fasting is not enough on it`s own ???
I have needed to lose ~2stones now for some time and I came close to my target unknowingly about 5yrs ago when taking care of my wife who was dying with cancer. I guess I just had so much to do and little time to eat and my waist dropped from about 40ins to 36ins and I felt fine. Slowly I have regained

Symptoms and problems
Thank you all for replying to my earlier post. I found it re-assuring to find a lot of the symptoms are experienced by others, so it isn't just me. I'm a firm believer in the holistic approach, and have got annoyed when GP's separate everything out! Bladder problems. Yes. Fatigue. Yes. Sleepiness Yes

Thoughts on day 1
Had a
binge
at 9pm, but I was genuinely hungry, rather than just
eating
for the sake of it, but because I was hungry, and I hate that feeling I over ate, 3 pieces of bread and butter, a cuppa soup, a packet of mini cheddar and 6 sugar free chocolate waffer bar thingies.

Gabapentin
Neurontin (Gabapentin) is for nerve pain. Horizant (Gabapentin XL) is for pain and RLS. In fact it's reported that Neurontin can make RLS worse. Unfortunately Horizant is only available in US and not in UK.

Has anyone been diagnosed with BPPV?
I have been to the ER twice, an ENT and a family doctor who believe, based on my explanation of symptoms, I have BPPV. About 2 months ago I woke up in the middle of the night to feed my baby and my head was spinning - I couldn't even read the Advil bottle. Then after that, I started feeling generally

Thyroid cancer, Tinnitus and Gluten intolerance. Is it all connected?
Hi, I have just come across this website so am very new, I have read a number of posts regarding thyroid and related problems and wished I had found this earlier. I had a total thyroidectomy and the removal of a parathyroid gland back in 2004 and since then I have been on Levothyroxine. I was on a

Still not sure
To be honest I'm not even sure I have a real problem, compared to others and posts I've read I eat loads. I tend to only eat low cal healthy stuff unless I binge and then go for bread and cakes and biscuits, feel guilty and purge. But I tend to have around 500 cals which seems loads now having read others

Don't want to weigh
Okay I had an eating disorder before. I since threw out the scales and do not want to own any again or weigh myself at all. I know my weight in November 2015 from a hospital appointment and I'm only maybe one clothes size up from that at most. Can I just eat the lowest amount the bmi calculator says
