Returning after an unintended break in my weight loss journey but back feeling motivated and ready to get started again.
I've been reading online about the benefits of taking not just a 'before' picture but also regularly taking pictures along the way so that when the scales arent maybe moving as might hope can look for visual changes.
I'm wondering if any of you have experience of doing this and if you find it helpful / good motivation. How often do people take photos? Every weigh in, every month, every 6 weeks etc?
Considering trying this in addition to weighing in and taking measurements but not sure, i dont really like taking my picture but if it might help then could be worth it.
Thanks for any thoughts,
J

Not just photos, but clothes and the tape measure too. Also how much exercise I can manage, how tired I feel, even watching muscles growing and strengthening. They are all good measures, I am the same weight as I was in October but am definitely smaller and fitter. 😀
I would not worry about the pictures it could go either way when you look at it. Depends on the day you look at it. why not do the old fashioned way and tell by your clothes. Short and simple.
Thanks IndigoBlue61 Wadestreet 13Valerie , really useful suggestions. I think ill give the photos, tape measure a go and how much exercise i can manage too.
I mostly wear loose dresses and leggings so harder to tell from my clothes but do have a few dresses im saving for when ive lost a bit of weight so can use these as a measure too i guess!
