I am posting this here because the site won’t let me do anything else! I wanted to know if there are any Lyme disease sufferers on here, or any with ADHD/Autism? I am a Lyme disease sufferer and have spent about the last 5 years trying to test a theory about finding/engineering a treatment or cure.

What is the likely hood of becoming immune to antibioticsl?
There are only about a handful of iv
antibiotics
used for Cystic Fibrosis infections and infections of people w Bronchiectasis like me. I am now having back to back lung infections of Pseudomonas, Ralston Picketti and many more.

SpaceOAR placement day after
I was given
antibiotics
to begin the day before through the day after the procedure, Valium for the day of the procedure to help calm my nerves (would have been nice for the biopsy), and a lidocaine patch to put in place an hour before the procedure.

Detection of a bacterial infection: Procalcitonin test
How to figure out if
antibiotics
should be considered ? There is a blood test measuring levels of Procalcitonin: if it is below 0.1 ng/mL, a bacterial infection is very unlikely, so
antibiotics
would be of no help.

IBS, seems to have gone after antibiotics for another condition.
Anyway she prescribed me Metronidazole
antibiotics
for the BV. One dose of 5 tablets. Imagine my joy to discover a few days later how my IBS symptoms have dissapeared. I had a couple of days of passing the most evil stools (sorry!) and lost around 2kgs But the bloating, pain etc is gone.

Hi everyone, I have a quick question, since GIs here can't help me, I have come here to ask for a piece of advice from you. My IBS symptoms come and go, I am constantly on pro/prebiotics, and my GI keeps on changing the supplements, but my symptoms flare up whenever I have a stress( I started to notice

Which antibiotic to choose and tips...
I have IBS-D and recently have had amazing success using Xifaxan. It is the first thing that has worked to control my symptoms in 5+ years. Honestly, it's been life changing for me - I have been able to socialize with friends again and have even been able to enjoy a few foods that I never thought I'd

Small cell vasculitis and epidermis demostosis
Treatment initially was
antibiotics
and suspect strep infection. And then as it kept reappearing and visits to dermatology put down as vasculitis caused by covid vaccine of which I still don't really buy into.

Elevated NK cells, UTI , antibiotics and steroid
Then I got diagnosed with UTI by my GP and I did a course of
antibiotics
. The clinic came back to me with the results and I had levated NK cells as well as Ureaplasma in the uterine lining. I'm doing a second round of
antibiotics
(doxycycline) to treat Ureaplasma.

Relieve pain in the penis, scrotum and perineum?
Foe pain related to some diseases, like prostatitis, orchitis, seek active medical treatments, such as diuretic and anti-inflammatory pill or
antibiotics
. Remember, these suggestions are general and may not apply to all cases.

He said that there had been 3 infections that they got rid of with the
antibiotics
but the fourth spot on my right lung is small cell carcinoma. He told me it's treatable and I have an appointment next week on Tuesday at a cancer center.

Is this PMR?
After 3 weeks on Pred I've just had my bloods done again and although ESR and CRP are now within normal levels I'm now having to take strong
antibiotics
as my white blood count is too high. Waiting for a appointment with the Rheumatologist but I have a long wait. Does this sound like PMR?

Long-term treatment with
antibiotics
can lead to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains. Moreover, antibiotic treatment can affect bacterial communities throughout the body, including that of the gut.
