Hep B vaccine?
Hi All, I've received a letter from my GP advising me to have an Hepatitis B vaccination as I had my spleen removed many years ago. However I also have SLE and Hughes Syndrome and have seen a few ambiguous reports of negative advice on Google. Can anyone offer any recent, informed advice? Many thanks

Help - constant fatigue and catching every bug going!
I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid about 2 years ago, after a prolonged spell of exhaustion and regular illness. I'm on 25mg of Levothyroxine a day. Since then I've continued to be constantly tired, but the worst bit is that I seem to catch every bug going. I'm being floored by flu-like symptoms

Hi, I've looked into getting some supplements as my ferritin, B12, folate and Vitamin D are low and because I'm a fussy eater, have gone gluten-free and have trouble swallowing due to my neck swelling I suspect I could be deficient in other minerals and vitamins. My GP will not test for anything other

Finally!
I've finally been diagnosed with Hashimoto's after 12 years. Of course not by an NHS doctor, but because I went to see a private doctor after months and months of fatigue caused by glandular fever. Visiting the private doctor spurred me to get a panel of thyroid tests done and bingo, there it is antibodies

The number one life impacting symptom for me has been debilitating fatigue. It impacts every decision I make and how I spend each limited molecule of energy. While, I have numerous symptoms from migraines, Raynaud's Syndrome, mouth ulcers, occasion slurred words, etc .... -- the one symptom that I

20, Recent Diagnosis of FND and Very Confused
I am a 20 year old University student and I'm struggling dealing with this diagnosis. I've suffered from chronic middle ear infections for 6 years now, except last year I ended up with an inner ear infection which took 9 months to clear up. During this time I ended up having to move home and temporarily

Active B12 results, suggestions on B12 sublingual and multi-vits dosage
Hey everyone, Well I have now completed my investigation into my B12. So my results: Serum B12: 182 ng/l (180-1000) and a few weeks later 202 ng/l, Homocysteine: 9.9 mmol/l MMA: 0.25 umol/l Active B12: 30 pmol/L (25.1-165) According to 'Could it be B12?' <200 ng/l as "severe B12 deficiency". Why Egg-Yolks are Good for You ?
Ditching the egg-yolk has always been an ideal option for the weight-obsessed. But why boycott the most delicious part of an egg when research says you should embrace it. You might think yolks are high in fat and cholesterol but scientists believe their role in raising cholesterol levels is minimal

When to take active B12 test after stopping supplements?
I had a total serum B12 test done privately recently and it came back 314 (150-900); a week later my NHS GP asked for it to be repeated and the result was 400 something low. I have started taking Boots vitamin B complex once a day, but do wonder about getting an active B12 test. I know that I will need

Can anyone help?
My daughter has been ill for nearly 3 months with fatigue, sleeping a lot of the time at first but then seemed much better after a couple of months and was starting to do some walking and less sleeping. She then started having tremors in her legs which were horrendous, lasting up to 3 hours at a time

Gosh: how important it is, to read the labels.
I was reading down the list of ingredients in my jar of Vitamin B complex pills and on closer inspection saw B12 listed with the low quality synthetic form of B12 (Cynocobalamin). I have found that this Vitamin is bound to toxic and poisonous cyanide molecule, that must be removed by our poor livers
