Cryptococcus
I am a post liver transplant recipient. I got Cryptococcus in February. When oral meds didn't work, I did two months of amphotericin infusions and had VATS surgery to remove three of the eight nodules that were in my lung. I am wondering if anyone else has had this and what is your story with it? Thanks

Tingling in left foot
Hi ladies, sorry to mither again. But day 3 of the femoston and I'm having horrendous headaches. Not to mention the worse period I've had for many many year's, I'd only taken it for 1 day and I wasn't due on. But I've had a tingling left foot, I've had it for some time but it hasn't stopped since

Medication confusion!
Okay, I am easily confused. Was prescribed Spironolactone in hospital and was already on vitamin B and Thiamine. No side effects apart from excessive weeing which is obviously the whole point. I was prescribed Omaprazole on discharge from hospital plus antibiotics- 4 via drip in hospital, one before

Hi , I have ET, blood tests have shown I am low in folate. I had the tests done by medicheck as I have been having erratic thyroid results and wanted my vitamins and minerals checked. Thyroid uk say its important that folate vit D and B vitamins are optimal to enable thyroxine to be absorbed but I

Is it okay to continue calcium prior to Thyroid Lab work?
Aside from Biotin and all B vitamins, is it okay to continue calcium supplements prior to TSH lab tests? My dr said to stop Biotin 48 hrs prior to test.

Re-testing with medichecks
O.K, so after, the disaster of lst testing with medichecks...what is the process with abstaining from tablets, vitamins etc before testing. I currently take 200mcg of Levothyroxine daily, I take a daily vit D spray (DLUX300), I take a ferrous sulphate supplement daily, complete vitamin B without folate

Fillers in supplements
Hubby is taking lots of capsules so I do worry about the amount of fillers in it. I have taken to giving him some of his thiamine, d- ribose, mannitol and other b vitamins dissolved in water with a little unsweetened black currant juice which he sips on during the day. I have noticed a precipitate

Igennus Super B complex or a multivitamin when only needing modest B12 supplementation to achieve a good level of B12
Hi everyone, The whole B12 issue has raised its head again with me and I'm hoping for some advice. Three months ago I stopped taking my Holland and Barrett multivitamin in an attempt to see if I actually did need to supplement B12 and folate. At that time my B12 and folate levels were both a little over

MMS DMSO for treatment of Parkinson's
My father has been diagnosed with Parkinson's in september 2017. He is 74 years old and took Madopar (Levodopa/carbidopa) for 6 month. Before the diagnose we saw that he might have Parkinson because he walked slowly with small steps(around10cm and close to the ground( around 10cm) -in contrast with

How Lucy Wills discovered a medical marvel in Marmite

A uric acid mess - would really welcome your opinion
Hi Guys, I've been advised by my endo to eat a diet rich in proteins (organ meat, etc) as, besides underactive thyroid, I also had anemia. This didn't always work, so I had some iron infusions which seemed to work. I stopped following protein rich diet and included carbs but when I needed to lose a few

High MCV Doesn't Respond to Anything?
Hi Everyone, I am brand new to the forum. For 20 years (maybe a whole lifetime) I've had a high MCV of around 103. I have a multitude of symptoms which I call Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Most conventional docs have said this was close to range and not a problem, but given my symptoms seems like it might

For what it's worth.
Hi everyone... from time to time I write a post about my experience with the dreaded rls. It seems we are all so different and also usually have more than rls to cope with medically. I do believe rls is part of another ailment disease or illness that we have. It could be connected with thyroid troubles

Stopping vitamin supplements before a thyroid test
I am due for an annual thyroid test as my medication needs reviewing. I take vitamin D, omega 3 (fish oil), magnesium glycinate and vitamin B complex supplements. I know that I should stop taking the vitamin B tablets as they contain biotin but what about the other supplements? Should I stop taking them

Daughters Final Diagnosis - Minimally Invasive Follicular Carcinoma
Dear All, I have written before about my daughters hemithyroidectomy. The removed nodule had cancer in it which measured 1.3cm. We finally got the reports after chasing the hospital constantly. Hers is minimally invasive follicular carcinoma, but with a strong suspicion of lymphovascular invasion. So

Symptoms after oral sex
Hi everyone! I have been struggling with this for 10 weeks after I had unprotected oral sex. I tested negative for absolutely every STI, including Hep. A, B and C. The candida test is also negative. No HIV. My END doctor already said she did everything possible and that from her point of view it is

This is working for us! Want to help someone else if this story looks similar to your child or teen
I am posting this because there has to be someone else out there this may help. I have hope right now for my teen and I want to share this. I can't tell you how happy I am right now. We still have a long road I'm sure, and we have had a tremendous number of ups and downs over the years. We tried everything
