Hep B vaccine?

Hi All,

I've received a letter from my GP advising me to have an Hepatitis B vaccination as I had my spleen removed many years ago. However I also have SLE and Hughes Syndrome and have seen a few ambiguous reports of negative advice on Google. Can anyone offer any recent, informed advice? Many thanks.

I was told by my Rheumatologist always to have Hep vaccinations (if required). If you're unlucky enough to catch B or C, there's no treatment.

I have Hughes syndrome and have had Hep b vaccine, no problem. I never believe anything on the web unless it's from a NHS site
