The pain ladder and medication. Cocodamol does zilch.
So I'm on 30/500 2 pills a day 4x a day. I have EDS, instability of lower limbs, a joint deformity in my hip and a labral tear in the same hip along with chronic spine pain in the entire length of my spine and gastroparesis so I hurt all the time. *fun* Been on cocodamol for maybe 2 years now, before

I think I am going mad ....
Hi everyone. I haven't posted on here for a while but like to drop in and read the posts. This week has been the 5th anniversary of my diagnosis with Fibro. I was asked if it was something to celebrate and my first thought was 'Hell no!!'. Then somebody pointed out to me that I may be one of the 'lucky

Boom and bust
Hi all, I'm fairly new to this site but would like any advice or thoughts on fatigue and managing 'boom and bust'. I had a road traffic accident over 5 months ago and have had post concussion syndrome since. I had 3 relapses in the first 2 months which all have the same pattern of chronic headaches

Amitriptyline withdrawal symptoms
Hi all, I decided to try not taking amitriptyline for a few days to see what happens. I'm only on 10mg a night to help me sleep and reduce fibro pain. I was sceptical when I read about withdrawal symptoms with such a low dose. But having taken it last at 9 in the evening on Monday, I had violent shivers

Unable to cry!
I am taking 25 Amitriptyline for PHN, I know the drug has side effects - e.g. dry eyes - but I recently have realised that I am unable to cry, upsetting as I have a lot of stress in my life at present and feel a "good cry" would help. Anyone else on AMI. experience this? and if so what might help

New medication and work questions
Hello everyone Yesterday I have received new antidepressants called Amitriptyline. I had to stop Duloxetine after nearly a year due to bad side effects. Does anyone have any experience with Amitriptyline? Also due to feeling really sick today I had to take one day off at work and I am not a ball of stress

Just started Amitriptyline and now feel rubbish
Has anyone else tried Amitriptyline? 48 hours ago my Doc gave me some to try saying it would help me get a full nights sleep and also help my stomach/bowel to relax at night as my mind is at rest too. Then last night out of the blue I had the worst IBS-D I have had in easily a year. Coincidence? I'm

Medication
I would like to get off some of my medication as I am taking far too much but some of it is addictive. It really worries me that I am taking so much! I am taking Zomorph and amitriptyline and diazepam amongst others.

Saw A Neurologist
I had an appointment with a neurologist about a week ago and put me on a withdrawal from my dose of 20 mg of Amitriptyline (an antidepressant) due to it making me over emotional and causing early signs of depression. He said that I was doing well on preventing my migraine/headache from becoming a 10
