Antidepressants side effects
I'm taking Effexor and amitriptyline. I started both two weeks ago at the same time. I have been feeling more restless, anxious and getting hand tremors, poor coordination. I don't know which is causing this 😞

Hi, I could really do with some friendly advice please! I have osteoarthritis and degenerative disk disease in my spine. Two of my lumbar disks are also herniated. I was referred to a rheumatologist who sent me for an MRI and did a lot of blood tests as I also am experiencing widespread joint and muscle

Amitriptiline
Has anyone here tried amitriptyline and did it help? I've seen some significant improvement (hallelujah) with this which affects your acetylcholine which can speed up signals to the body and something I've wondered about with FND. I got ill too just after I gave up a bad coffee addiction and coffee can

GP lack of knowledge
I went back to my GP today to ask for renewal of gabapentin & to ask about oxycodone versus Targinact armed with a print out of the NICE guidelines on RLS, treatments and Targinact. Saw a different GP who's not up to speed on my withdrawal from Ropinirole & started to update her on situation. First she

My anxiety is bad today
Well I started on amitriptyline last night. I slept ok but my anxiety feels worst. I'm angry today and feel like I have no one, I feel alone. I don't know how to describe it. I woke up crying, like I don't normally do that. My husband said one thing to me about wanting his wife back and I nearly

My doctor is prescribing anti-depressants & anti-convulsants for pain, but it's not helping
About four years ago I had an MRI done and was diagnosed with herniated discs in my low back. My doctor at the time prescribed Percocet and a NSAID for pain and it worked well. Two years ago I went to prison and now that I am out I have a new doctor who has prescribed Gabapentin and then Amitriptyline

Side effects
I have been taking amitriptyline for a few weeks. I am suffering from a very dry mouth which is a recognised side effect. However, I have been very weepy as well. I can be emotional like most people but bursting into tears at the slightest thing just isn't me. I am wondering if this is a side effect

IBS turned out to be IBD
Hi all, I thought I would write a little post about what happened to me in the hope it will help others. For a good few years now, my stomach has not been normal. I had on and off diarrhoea, constipation, blood in stools, mucus, cramps, aches and pains- you name it! The past 6 months, the symptoms quickly

Help - Pain and Mental Health
I'm new here and after some advice. My story is a long one so i'll keep it as short as possible. I was diagnosed with PTSD/Depression/Agoraphobia back in 2009 for which I have been receiving treatment on and off. I had a heart attack in 2010 which I was told was stress related. So life has been a daily

Amitriptyline
After being on 10mg Amitriptyline for 5 years I was feeling that they were no longer doing very much. It was prescribed when I was told I have fibromyalgia (as well as already having RA and Sjogrens). But I'm fed up with feeling so groggy in the morning, even though Rheumy Nurse suggested I take them
