Hyperflexibility
I’ve had migraines for 8 years – a couple or more a week. I’ve been prescribed all the triptans, a beta-blocker, topiramate, amitriptyline and gabapentin. The latter two helped for a while but eventually wore off. I saw a neurologist who prescribed indomethacin, which didn’t work. I tried eliminating

PAF and amitriptyline
I have been prescribed amitriptyline by my GP as I am getting practically no sleep because of restless legs. But I understand it can cause heart rhythm problems. GP says it is choosing between two evils, but when I have an AF attack and my heart is pounding at 250 bpm, I know which seems the greater

Neurologist
So since my last post I was referred to NHNN and they ordered mri of brain and spine and some electrocution type tests. PBC and neuropathy
Hi all 6 months ago I began quite suddenly to have painful pins and needles in my hands and feet, along with some 'mistaken' nerve signals like there was something underneath my foot when there wasn't. Following thorough nerve conduction studies and examination by a neurologist, this was diagnosed

Lyrica - effective for your neuropathy?
I've tried what seems like countless medications to try to alleviate my neuropathic pain - amitriptyline, duloxetine, gabapentin, carbamazepine, baclofen, topical creams and ointments, cannabis, capsaicin cream - and none have worked. Literally the only medication that has been effective at all is Percocet

Propranolol and tinnitus query
My tinnitus came on over 2 years ago (maybe 3) when I was put on high doses of Propranolol (a beta blocker) to ease a "cough headache". That is a headache brought on by any sort of strain e.g. Sneezes, coughs, bending over, and in the end even laughing. (The propranolol reduces the pressures in the

Amitriptyline and RLS
About 3 years ago I was put on Amitriptyline (to counter some side effects of Leflunomide for SLE) and overnight my RLS stopped. I had dreaded the evenings and going to bed but this drug seemed to stop it. Now I read that Amitriptyline is not recommended for RLS and that it can make it worse. So I
