Hi, after a couple of years of going to the doctors and rheumatology consultants complaining of muscle pain and fatigue They have confirm my suspicions that it is probable fibro. I have loads of questions and welcome the support, but firstly a bit of advice regarding medication would be appreciated

Hey all, As title says I have AS, diagnosed last year after 25 years of being told I was depressed / anxious / imagining it - you know the drill! suggestions?
After the migraines started two years ago it wasnt long until the anxiety and panic attacks started. MRI scans found only fluid and lesions. Different medications were given that didnt lessen the pain much. I'm currently on amitriptyline which has helped most of all. The worst part all this is the lack

PMR or not?
Hello, I am new to this disease (I think). I have been put on 15mg of Prednisolone a day, still experiencing a bit of soreness, very stiff in the mornings and have some days worse than others. My G.P. has now said that she does not think that I have PMR. I am very confused as I had been back & forward

One step closer *insert cheers here*
So, we’re finally getting somewhere. I had an appointment with my GP this morning, I had a pelvic and rectal exam done while on my period today. She found blood in my back passage. The exam was painful but well worth it. Turns out my referral to gyno was ‘urgent’ anyway, despite that I’ve been waiting

Stage 4 Endo Pain and Mood Swings
Been feeling really depressed lately. My GP prescribed Amitriptyline and the progestin only pill to help with non stop bleeding and excruciating pain and since then I’ve been an emotional wreck. Anyone have any tips to make me feel a little better..?

Nerve pain following Shingles
I've been left with really bad nerve pain following Shingles. I've got a high pain threshold but this is something else. I've been using ice packs, cocodomol, amitriptyline, but they aren't making any difference. My GP gave me capsaicin cream two weeks ago, but that's not helping much either, I'm shattered

Leg pain
When I was hospitalised with meningitis one of my only symptoms was agonising pain in my legs. I still struggle massively with this and seems to have worsened now that I’m on sertraline which is giving me ‘involuntary muscle spasms’ (mainly my legs and toes twitch constantly). I am on 30mg of amitriptyline

Amitriptyline drops numb mouth?
I was just prescribed Amitriptyline in an oral liquid form. I was told to take three drops and I did so by placing them in a spoon and taking them that way. The taste was awful and instantly my mouth and throat went numb and dry. Is this normal?

My senses are more alive now I have off Amitriptyline!
It's taken weeks and I am still not completely free of the Amitriptyline inside me but thankfully I am over the worst of the withdrawal symptoms but I am angry. I have been out of the world for so many years thinking the bad thoughts I woke up with every morning was part of my depression but I now realise
