Ablation
Wonder if anyone can help I am having a ablation on 9th October I take rivaroxaban and have been told to carry on taking it. Reading one of the other posts they say most hospitals will only carry out procedure if you are on warfarin should I be worried ? Rob.

Hair loss.
Hi everyone I've moved over from methotrexate tablets to injections and I'm 8 weeks in now This morning I noticed quite a bit of hair loss when I washed my hair. Considering I washed it yesterday as well I think it was quite a bit to lose. What's people's experiences with this?

Synarel (gnrh) and St John's wort?
Hello. - I am on long-term synarel (gnrh) for endo and was wondering if anyone knows if I can take St John's wort with it? Sleeping Pills
I was wondering if most of you give your significant others sleep aids. David is not sleeping well at night and the doctor was going to give him something but he refused to take it. He is worried about wetting the bed. I don't think a light sleep aid would knock him out that much. Also I tried to tell

Prolonged TV watching linked to fatal Pulmonary Embolisms
Not CLL related, but I wouldn't count on our tendency to have lower platelet counts to protect us from this risk, which can be overcome by not staying inactive for lengthy periods of time. [i]'Results of a large study suggest that watching television for prolonged periods may increase a person’s risk

Shortness of breath with hiatus hernia?
Hi - I've been struggling to get an answer for my chronic shortness of breath for about 6 weeks now. I've had (mistaken) diagnosis of COPD, anxiety, angina and GERD. Now, the docs are making me self inject a blood thinner until I can get a CT scan on Monday as they think I could have a pulmonary embolism

best oil for Hashimoto patients?
So, this question is pretty straightforward: I was recommended hemp oil by a Hertoghe doctor in Belgium. Others seem to prefer virgin olive oil. I admit to finding it rather confusing, as there are so many theories and opinions out there...so I'd really appreciate some input on this. I would not mind

Flu Vaccine and anticoagulants
I went into Boots for my flu vaccine, and paid for it as I was told NHS did not know when they would be ready yet ( I had no prob last year). Since last year I have been taking Dabigatran. After quite a wait I was finally told that I would need to have it subcutaneously but that the pharmacists had

Hello x
Hi everyone. I am new to this site although I was diagnosed with fibro a couple of years ago now. Think I am still in denial and hope it will just go away. I read a post from Jo earlier today and know exactly how she feels as I am sure many of us do. I didn't have a lovely useful job like Jo, but I did

Warfarin
I have been on Warfarin for the last 10 years and was told I will be on it for life. My INR, however, seems to be a continual moving target. I have now been taken off Warfarin and put on Rivaroxaban to control my INR. I have also been told that I no longer need to have my level checked. If that is the

I think I have this! I've noticed after a shower I've suffered intense itching/burning/crawling sensation in my skin after a shower. How to check my temperature for Hypo
Hi all, After a year of being shuffled between the Endo team and my GP, I finally saw a great Doctor on Friday. He did not just look at my blood test results but but he listened to me and after our long discussion, he told me he wanted to put me on a very low dose of Armour Thyroid 30mg, asked me to

Steroid Free Yipeeee
Hi, I am so happy that for the first time in over three years I am steroid free. I stopped them on Saturday so I have taken none at all since. I have AIH/PBC overlap and I am hoping that my liver will hold it's own and I won't have to go back on them. Thing is, my asthma is really bad today; I had forgotten
