More medications
Hi can anyone give me a loan of a magic wand please? I’ve been advised to take a new medication to help with the dreaded itch. It’s called Colesevelam 625mg. The problem is, I’ve to start with 1 tablet twice per day working on adding 1 more tablet after each week until I reach 2 tablets 3 times per day

In focus: hair - wigs and scarves
Hello Continuing our series of posts on hair, this week we're focusing on wigs and scarves. If you’re affected by hair loss due to chemotherapy, you may choose to cover your head at least some of the time. The most usual ways of doing this are either with a wig or with a scarf. You can also get hairpieces

Chemicals with alternate fenbendazole
Somewhere I saw that a cheaper way to obtain fenbendazole was the Safe-Guard suspension for goats. But it says "not for human use." The other ingredients are Water Methyloparaben propylparaben silicon dioxide providones trisodium citrate ihydrate carboxymethycellulose sodium citric acid monohydrate

How long did symptoms last after your DVT?
Hello everyone. I just had a iliofemural DVT and was put on enoxaparin for 2 weeks followed by rivaroxaban twice a day. There are no doubts that after these 3 weeks my symptoms vastly improved but i still have trouble getting back to my daily activities as my leg starts to hurt and swell after walking

Vulval Itching
Not sure if it's endo related but I'm so itchy I feel like clawing my skin off! I've had this for a while in waves but have never found it related to anything hormonal or diet related, and it's driving me insane! Tried E45, petroleum jelly, even been given steroid creams and nothing is touching it. The

Treating Pulmonary Embolism: How Safe and Effective Are New Devices?
Pulmonary embolism (PE), a blood clot lodged in one of the pulmonary arteries in the lungs, is the third leading cause of cardiovascular-related death in the United States. Recovery after PE is more than possible
13.05.2016 (Friday the 13th) Diagnosed with Massive Bilateral Pulmonary Embolism approximately two weeks after getting big bruises on legs during a motorcycle accident (at that time I was not aware I had protein S deficiency that in combination with bruises triggered blood clots forming in my legs).

Sleep aid that seems to be working
Like a lot of us with a head injury, I suffer from sleep problems. I doze off intermittently at random times during the day and then at night time. I only have a few hours sleep. Over the years, I have tried all the usual advice - no drinks late at night, reduce "screen" time, dark room, cold room,

Hydroxychloroquine and hair loss
I had to stop taking methotrexate due to severe hair loss and waited almost 3 months before starting a new DMARD. I was hoping to start on biologics but my DAS score was too low. The rheumatologist suggested I start on lefluamide or Sulfasalazine but the risk of hair loss was higher than methotrexate

Fluctuating alt - possible AIH?
Hi I have been having fluctuating alt for 6 years. Been through all the blood tests and scans and have asma antibodies and high igg. I have had autoimmune thyroid disease and have lupus. Things point towards AIH however my alt has recently gone down to almost normal so hepatologist says he won't do

HELP with getting sleep!
HELP! My DH isn't sleeping well at all. He's tried Natrol 10mg Melatonin and it wasn't that great. I then got Natrol Melatonin Advance Sleep 10mg Melatonin (it's a 2 layer time release to help fall asleep quickly, then the inner layer helps you sleep through the night), sounded good, but it was worse
