Hello, I used to have this when I was little but it only lasted for around a month for me. I found that the trick was to use coconut oil as it calmed my scalp from itching and scratching. I hope this helped a bit! And I hope your daughter gets better.

I have scalp psoriasis and I'm interested in using the coconut oil. Did you use it on your scalp and then wash your hair because I'm sure the coconut oil made your hair oily. How long did you have to leave it on your scalp before you washed your hair. Thank you for your help as this is miserable.

I don't know if your daughter would be too young for you to use Head and shoulders shampoo . maybe just a little might be ok . the GP suggested I use it for my husband who has the same thing and on top of that can hAve blistered Skin .

it helped his scalp enormously .

I worried it might be too strong for him but it wasn't at all . A friend who has @upus was also told to try it .

I have suffered badly with scalp psoriasis since childhood. Tried all the natural remedies and betnovate. In the end the Dr prescribed me a stronger steriod scalp lotion called Mometasone. I only have to use it for a couple of weeks (nightly) and it clears right up. You can't use for long periods but may be worth asking for something stronger than betnovate as a short term measure just to get it under control.

I have also suffered with scalp psoriasis since I was 18 months old and was wrongly diagnosed as having eczema until the GP I saw at University turned out to be very into dermatology. I have tried pretty much everything to no avail - until I went to the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. Their moisture cream coupled with the shampoo are very effective - on the downside they are very expensive, however, I have had an almost clear scalp for the first time for nearly 6 months.
