Fragmin dosage query
I am currently using fragmin, the dosage being 18,000. At a haematology appointment last week, the consultant suggested at my next appointment reviewing the dosage and maybe looking to reduce it. Whilst my consultant is not an APS specialist, they do have some experience of the condition and they are

I haven't posted on here for a while, simply because I've been AF free now for 14 months since the ablation. I saw my consultant for the last time this morning and we discussed the whole anticoagulation issue again. This was my final chance to come off them and with a CHADsVasc of 1 (being female),

No diagnosis
My 2 year old son was admitted 3 months ago with acute hepatitis, after weeks of taking him to the GP and getting sent home and then a week of visiting A&E everyday to be sent home. He was vomiting, his urine was like lucozade and in the final week before being admitted had developed jaundis (I was told

Taking Fragmin whilst on Warfarin
I have been given 1ml syringes of Fragmin for use in emergency. My Consultant said to take it if my INR drops below 2.0. At the moment it's 2.7 and I feel awful. I have never taken the Fragmin as a bit nervous it may thin my blood too much whilst I'm trying to raise my INR. I feel so bad just now and

Good morning all I recently invested the princely sum of £7.98 to get two garden candles on the obviously ridiculous assumption that it might stop raining at some point & we could sit outside for 10 minutes one evening. Anyway in spite of my ludicrously optimistic & fundamentally flawed thinking I've

Survived a Pulmonary Embolism and scared!
I am a 40 year old woman who was diagnosed with multiple clots in the arteries to both lungs back in February. After 2 weeks in hospital, I was discharged and am on warfarin for life as the cause of the emboli remains unknown. Life has been a rollercoaster ever since! I was given very little information

Hi, I'm a newbie
Hi everyone, I've been reading all your recent posts and you are a lovely group of people, giving advice and support when needed. I have just been diagnosed with autoimune hepatitis and feel quite devastated, although I'm beginning to come to terms with it. My specialist is very optimistic and I will

Heparin
Hi all, to anyone who is having heparin injections, do you find that you have lots of lumps under the skin? I've been using arnica cream but it doesn't really help. Can anyone recommend anything else?. Thanks elfie.
