S&F Catch-Up Aug’23: how is everyone doing?
Is anyone still doing the daily YWA calendar
Yoga
practice? Instructor57 is also stretching to deal with his recurring Plantar Fasciitis. And I remember you have increased your gym workouts? Sax64 is possibly still planking? Wowsa!

Exercise and PMR
Before all the spinal fractures and bursitis and PMR etc I was reasonably fit, but not athletic and I did a 1.5 hour weekly Hatha
yoga
class. Even earlier this year I could do an occasional 6-7 mile coastal walk.

Yoga
is a bit of a non starter as it seems to trigger my asthma, as the local hall is dusty.

Taking a Walk... BUT...Taking a Walk...
And I am back on track, in my chosen exercise. of running:) I have fallen by the wayside on my
Yoga
, apart from my daily morning workout... but I persevere! So, I got to thinking about my exercise; about what I do, achieve, what impact it has and what I do enjoy.

Something to think about
Yoga
teacher and spiritual leader Sadhguru on the miracles of daily life: "Every moment there are a million miracles happening around you: a flower blossoming, a bird tweeting, a bee humming, a raindrop falling, a snowflake wafting along the clear evening air.

7-Day Tibetan Rite Challenge on S&F
★★★ The Five Tibetan Rites are a system of
yoga
-like exercises reported to be more than 2,500 years old, first publicised in the Western world in 1939. The Five Rites (and traditional Tibetan
yoga
) emphasise "a continuous sequence of movement".

How to persuade TSH-obsessed Endo I'm not over-replaced (on T3-only)?
I have no AF, palpitations, anxiety etc, have never broken a bone (and am having a DEXA scan next week), I regularly swim, run, climb, do
yoga
and can actually keep up with my 6 and 8 year old kids at the park. I am 45.

No time to turn at Beauty's glance...
Running gear laid out ready... and after the normal cuppa, courtesy of Mr OF, morning
yoga
and stretches completed, I headed out, through the stable yard into, what had over the week become familiar territory. Down the drive and onto the narrow, high hedge-bordered lane.

Homesick for another world
I am so grateful for this morning routine of
yoga
, meditating, and writing before Max is awake, because it shows me that I’m still my own person, and that there is still time for me to dare dream of a brighter future. When I was on all those meds, all I wanted to do was sleep.

People of HealthUnlocked: Tinnitus: A Tyrant and Teacher
A lot of the things that keep me well, mostly
yoga
and meditation, involve silence. When I first developed tinnitus these became excruciating to the point where I gave up meditation completely and left
yoga
classes feeling distraught.

update for my post *sensitive* Ectopic Pregnancy
The advice was to do
yoga
(believe it or not) and stretch. He suggested to use deep heat but I don’t like that idea so will use oil instead. I had my scan on Thursday and there is a heartbeat and baby is in the right place.

Anxiety Strategies
Leaving herbal type remedies (along with Music, Meditation,
Yoga
, Massage, etc) looking like a good option. Wonder what some of you good people have found works for this? The article listed a few like Ginko Biloba, Lavender, Passion Flower. Thoughts appreciated! Best wishes, Andy
