Does Electrical power lines directly affect fibromyalgia sufferers?
I live near an electrical pylon, the cables run directly over my house. I have found in the 18 months I've lived here that my Fibro-myalgia has got much worse. I believe the close proximity of these power lines is the cause of my deterioration, I am having to increase my intake of pain relief and have

Is sleep apnea (not sure of spelling sorry) connected to CMT?
My offical diagnosis by my neurologist after many, many years of tests, is: "Muscle Atrophy of unknown origin" however I am 99% sure I have CMT; The symptoms and experiences CMT-ers have could have been written as if based on me! Several years ago my (now ex-husband) insisted I went to see our GP as

O gentle sleep, Nature's soft nurse
I happened across a paper earlier which expressly mentioned using thyroxine, Flurazepam and B12 to help restore sleep patterns. Interesting indeed. It does not appear to have been cited by many other papers - but it is mentioned in a review paper from 2010 - link lower down. [i]Sleep. 1983;6(3)

Should I be worried?
I have developed this breathing problem during sleep basically when I'm just about to dose of to sleep i quickly jolt back awake again because to me it seems like I stopped breathing or have forgotten to breathe. This happens like every time I'm dosing off but I never feel out of breathe or anything

I recently have been having really bad nightmares and now my family have said that I was sleep walking which is something I have never done in my life! I also get very forgetful. Has anyone else had these sort of problems?

Aspergillus fumigatus and chronic eosinophilic pneumonia
Looks like I have my diagnosis now: chronic eosinophilic pneumonia, with aspergillus fumigatus fungus. I suspect the fungus, along wth Sjogren's, is the cause. And, do you know, I printed out notes on CEP TWO YEARS ago when they told me I had 'pneumonia' and it just didn't ring true. When will I EVER

Does anyone use this or know if it works, (Glucosamine sulphate ?) Im on Ropinarole for restless legs...i also suffer very extreme sleep disorders such as sleep hallucinations, sleep walking and this has stopped a bit with the medication and i wondered about this being connected to each other ? thanks

Depression wanes when you paint!
I've been feeling turbulent this week. But in my favourite medium I produced something pretty cool. Dab hand at this art stuff. (Self-referential, egocentric, true). Although the proportions are slightly off. My mum is better than me. Oil, acrylic... whatever, she can do it. That doesn't even

Occurrence of lower limb enthesopathy in coeliac disease patients
We see quite a number of people complaining of knee pain. Well, there is a possibility this is related to coeliac disease... All too often we blame everything on thyroid, but maybe not this time? FYI: WIki says... Enthesopathy In medicine, an enthesopathy refers to a disorder of entheses

My mum had parkinsons, how do I convince my doctor that I need a test
My poor mum had parkinsons, I have had restless leg syndrome for a long time but it has got worse, I went to the gp and he has given me mirapexin which is also for parkinson sufferers, I asked him for a test for parkinsons and he said there isnt one and whats the point of having it. I believe that
