Permanent atrial fibrillation and little or no sleep.
I have touched on this subject before but am still in desperate need of any suggestions. I have Permanent atrial fibrillation and find sleep of a night quite a problem. I wear ear plugs because of light noise both inside and outside the bedroom. Out side is passing traffic etc. which is already reduced

Lung denervation
I am the lady in the Daily Mail today. It really is a miracle!! I can now do things that I would not even try before, like going to a Supermarket, walking down the road etc. I did have a few side effects, but most have gone and the remaining cough is subsiding. Would definitely recommend you find out

Subject:. Sleep apnea I went recently to be tested for apnea and when I asked the doc how long I would have to use the mask, his reply was that once you have it, you always have it. I thought about that comment later with reference to my PD husband who was diagnosed years ago (pre-PD dx) after a hospital

Bradycardia and Sleep Apnea
This afternoon when I went to a short nap while feeling fatigued and my heart was very slow around 50 bpm, shortly the heart rate alarm woke me up as my heart rate drooped to 45 bpm within a few minutes after I drifted to sleep. This happens to me everyday since 4 years now. I tried CPAP but it didn't

In this study, we will determine whether treatment with L- Dihydroxyphenylserine (L-DOPS, Northera) in addition to dopaminergic drugs will improve postural stability and activity of daily living, and reduce fall risk and/or severity of falls in PD patients.Falls, early in PD (within 5 years of diagnosis

Cymbalta (duloxetine)
I was given this medication 12 months ago by a Neurologist for Peripheral Neuropathy? However, since reducing my Pred by 1 mg (now on 6 mg) the symptoms of numb feet have almost disappeared. I therefore said to my GP that I could not see any reason why I am taking the duloxetine (30 mg at night).

Summer reading
Hi all, two books I'd requested arrived at the library quite recently and I checked them both out. One is Alex Kerten's "Goodbye Parkinson's, Hello Life!" Frankly I don't know what to make of it. He has pioneered something called "Gyro-Kinetics" which blends dance, martial arts and behavior modification

Hypo/ hashis and doxylamine succinate aka sleep aid
Hi there, I work the night shift five nights a week every week. I find it very hard to sleep during the day so lack of sleep causes stress, cortisol and adrenal distress. I have recently started taking "sleep aid" - one 25g tablet of doxylamine succinate - I take this four mornings a week when I return

Sleeping all the time
I sleep an average of about 12 hours per day and don't have the energy to clean my house or play with my kids anymore. Sometimes I go days at a time without even showering. I get fast food a lot more lately because I never know what to cook nor have the energy to do it. And am supposed to be working

AF + Sleep Apnoea=World of Problems
If any of you AF sufferers also have sleep apnoea, I urge you to learn as much as possible about the interface of the two--it ain't good. Research in Europe and the USA is showing that undiagnosed sleep apnoea can be the cause of AF. Even if it isn't the cause of your AF, it's worth being screened for

Poll - who's had weight gain /tiredness from flunarizine and who hasn't?? Trying to find out how common they really are with this drug
Hi Everyone! I wabted to do a poll to see how many people on flunarizine got weight gain and/or tiredness and how many didn't. Although they are both listed as common side effects I'm just wondering how common they really are as I know everyone reacts differently. I know one person here hasn't had them

Spoiler
I have noticed in all the postings I have read, nobody mentions a huge cause/trigger which is SLEEP APNEA! I had Afib 2 years before it was diagnosed as being not only most likely the cause but also affects all organs and has caused me to have memory loss from the brain being deprived of oxygen during

Amitriptyline and Trazodone
I was given Citalopram in place of Amitriptyline 4 weeks ago. It didn't do me much good at all. Went back to the doctor who knows me best. She told me Citralopram would not help my pain. As I was getting better relief from amitriptyline she prescribed me 50mg amitriptyline as well as 50mg of trazodone
