Miaxial...anyone used it?
Hi all, has anyone heard of/used Miaxial for fibro. It was advertised in an independant health shop and is targeted at those with fibro, as per window poster, he said those who have used it have had good results. (but then he would say that!!) "It's a suppliment to target muscoskeletal health, fatigue

Breathing problems - do you constantly sigh/yawn?
I'm a bit over-excited because I feel I'm on the verge of reaching my inner goddess! I was diagnosed with Fibro over 8 years ago. As far back as I can remember I've had a breathing disorder. I sigh and yawn and I just don't feel like I'm getting a 'good breath'. I've seen stuff on a Fibro page

Feeling sleepy all the time
Does anyone else feel sleepy all the time with Fibromyalgia? I missed my guitar lesson because I couldn't stay awake & only realized it was Wednesday @ about 7.30pm when I woke from my slumber... am I the only one this happens too? I know it can be down to the idiopathic Hypersomnia but I'm guessing

RLS Poems from Sufferers
In my yahoo support groups for RLS, I ran a poetry contest for people of all ages and all sleep disorders. I had lot of contributions. If you like the one I putting in the blog that is great, but you would need my permission and the author's permission to post it elsewhere. I think this one is one of

Medications and food to avoid, applies to most of us who has RLS. This is taken from the www.rlshelp.org website..
Drugs and Foods to avoid to improve RLS This section will discuss various drugs and foods that may worsen RLS. Things that cause worsening of RLS in some patients may not bother others in the same way; in fact, others may even be helped by these same medications or foods that worsen others. Please

More details about "slow release mirapexin" please.
Elsewhere on this site people have mentioned "slow release mirapexin". What is it? The reason I ask is that I presently take 3 x 0.088mg "normal" mirapexin before going to sleep and for a few months I have had an undisturbed night. Now it's wearing off in the small hours. It did this before, which was

Neurologists Outcome
Well, not what I thought. After waiting 7 months to see a certain consultant. He really didn't help much. Told me my doctor could give me whatever, asked if Ihad taken the following..... then he rattled off about six different drugs I had never heard of. I said no, why not, I haven't been offered them

Does anyone suffer from sleep apnea?
Hi, about the time I was diagnosed with CMT 1a (10 years ago) my wife noticed that I stopped breathing for long periods when sleeping. I was referred by my GP to a sleep consultant. He took one look at me and said "I don't believe you have sleep apnea, you're fit and not overweight, you just don't fit

A passion
I have always had a passion for the theatre. From when I was little and went to Drama School have always wanted to tread the boards - did I manage that - well yes at the Watford Palace Theater So now I read magazines for the blind. I read at the end of each month and they are sent copies to listen to

Loss of Hope
My husband passed away a little over two months ago. I am slowly, but surely, recapturing myself. Now that I look back on our ordeal, I realize that one of the most difficult aspects - one which I could not dissuade myself of - was the hopelessness of our situation. I have always been the greatest of

ITP & Scleral Hemorrhage
Hi, has anyone had bleeding in the eye? I don't mean "bloody tears" but under the surface of the white of the eye. I woke up this mornong with a large red mark on the eye. Went to docs & he said " it's just the blood vessels under the surface that have burst" - I KNEW THIS ALREADY. What he didn't seem

If laughter is the best medication ....... Part II
Toward adding some humor to your day, I've come up with and compiled some jokes that I hope will make you smile. Most of them work for both conditions -- just change it as needed. You know you've got brain fog when ... I'm sorry, what were we talking about? How do you snap someone out of brain fog
