Mini-Pill working wonders!
I came off my contraceptive implant to see how my period was doing and it turned out to be irregular and very very very painful as well as a surprising symptom of rectal bleeding at the same time. To help with the pain, I was recommended the mini-pill and I have now been on it about three months and

Anticoagulation PIP
I missed the earlier discussion on pip for anticoagulation too. I was advised 20 years ago to take warfarin but as my afib episodes are once twice a year I felt I was too young. I asked my GP last month if I could try Apixaban as PIP as I’ve had 3 episodes during lockdown all lasting 5/6 days - he said

DVT in leg after cycling too much
Hi succumbed to the male ego and over did a charity cycle without adequate preparation. Upshot I ended up with DVT behind my knee joint. It’s been 6 months now and walking is fine but if I try to cycle it’s uncomfortable. So still taking the Rivaroxoban. Anybody had similar experience ? Just wondering

Due for my prolia...
Hi everyone, am due for my prolia injection today but want to talk to my Dr. I have read MPN May increase risk of fractures but I hate this prolia as if you stop there is an increased risk of fracture! Being on clopidergrel, HU, Apixaban already feels like enough... am really tempted to just up the exercise

Ileostomy questions
I was wondering if anyone could answer any questions that I have. Nothing too serious just some random questions. I have been told by the surgeons that I might be having ostomy surgery. That is all I was told, I have done a lot of research but I am currently waiting on a call from my Gastroenterologist

Help! Can any one recommend a foolproof balance exercise for me: 12 months since big heart op, followed by PD?
After my stroke in 2016 I fought back with Tom Balchin's book and was doing really well (2 mile walks etc); then heart failure, then op etc. Now I don't know whether I'm on foot or horseback! On good days I can walk quite fast on soft ground, then next day I'm very wobbly indeed, and slightly dropping

clumsy
I have noticed of late that I am dropping things and becoming clumsy. Is this an RA thing I wonder. It isn't serious, just annoying. I am 84 and was diagnosed 4 years ago. I take MXT 20mgm orally once a week. The pads on my finger ends have a strange feeling that you get when you are getting over a

Worried...
Warning: this is going to be TMI but I figure if I can’t share my worry here, where can I?! The last couple of days I’ve noticed blood in my stool - there’s occasionally been traces in the past which I’ve figured have been related to my post-childbirth haemorrhoids (thanks, kids! 🙄😂). This is definitely

PTSD
This is going to be hard to tell. It happened long time ago and I thought that it was gone. I lost my mother in a car accident at age one, my father was an alcoholic. I was raised by my lovely grandmother and grandfather who lost 3 children in that car accident. Actually 5 people died that afternoon

Update
Hello lovelies, I have just got home from my hospital appointment after seeing a gynae that specialises in Endo. They want me to go on the contraceptive pill, see how I get on. They are referring me for an MRI and that will take 4-6 weeks. After that, I’ll go back, discuss the results and then they

Where to get assessment?
Hello, I'm wondering, can ptsd be assessed/diagnosed/treated by a psychologist or does it need to be a psychiatrist?

Anticoagulants risky ?
So are anticoagulants risky?
