Turmeric supplement
Hi, I have decided to start taking a Turmeric supplement in my never ending quest to alleviate itching' and have bought a box of "ultra turmeric with black pepper and vitamin D" made by Vitabiotics. Each capsule contains 13g turmeric. Does anybody know if this is a safe dose to take with the aspirin

Non-physical side effects on Hydrea
I started treatment just 6 weeks ago and I've been on 6000mg Hydrea (1000mg Mon-Thurs and 500 mg Fri -Sun) now for about 4 weeks. Apart from the usual physical side effects, I feel quite "flat " mentally and have lost interest in most of my activities pre-treatment (exercise, healthy diet, other interests

Update on GCA and thickening of internal carotid artery
I'm creating a new post to follow up on my previous one because I cant locate old posts. Help? The cardiologist said, yes its marginally thicker and doesnt concern him at this time. Still taking baby aspirin every day. Cholesterol levels are awesome and the opinion is the thickening is a result of GCA

Reoccurring DVT
Hi, I had a DVT 4 years ago and have been on edoxaban every since. GP wants me to come off, as he thinks I don't need them, the haemotologist said I need to be on them for life, but it's my choice, I am scared as the GP said that I may get another DVT within a week of stopping, which I don't want as

Gum infection
I have had a gum infection and have had to have a tooth with no decay pulled although I thoroughly clean teeth twice a day, floss and use interdental brushes and visit hygienist every six months. Does anyone know if this might be linked to PMR, 10 years on prednisolone or stress (bereavement)? Don't

PTSD and me.. old ghosts are revisiting..
I'm sure I've written that I'm working on my PTSD disability claim with the VA. After 50 years they've finally let me and other "Blue Water Navy" personnel file. In addition to having to revisit my several traumas, I find I feel I have to try and justify my late claim, and account how I have have been

Curious Variation in Atrial Fib Incidence, Mortality Across Europe

I’d like to ask Hunter about your Drs in the Orlando area, where I am. You changed Drs recently, I think. Would you share their names?
I have JAK 2 ET, diagnosed last summer when endocrinologist saw my elevated blood numbers -750. I am on Eliquis and baby aspirin. I’ve read all I can and watch specialists on youtube. I’d like a Dr, not a PA although the Dr does stick her head in the door to say hello and that my platelets look good

COVID vaccine information for APS patients [Updated 28/01/2021] While the vast majority of people are still vulnerable to COVID-19, a vaccine could help teach our bodies to fight the virus by stopping us from being infected or, at least, make COVID-19 less deadly. Long-term Warfarin use and arterial calcification?
I've recently become aware that arterial calcification is a risk with warfarin use. I've been taking a high dose of warfarin for nearly 20 years to keep my artificial heart valve ticking away. My INR needs to be between 3 and 4 so I typically take in the order of 8 to 10mg daily. I wondered if anyone
