PA and proctitis

My mom was diagnosed with PA awhile back and has struggled with proctitis for some time. Is there any connection? Anyone else experience this? Did B12 injections help?

I don't think there is any connection to PA but , . Some forum members have mentioned constipation as a b12 deficiency symptom,Also incontinence.

Both if which has gone with adequate b12 treatment or improved.

I hope B12 treatment does help your mum .

I assume she has had medical investigations to make sure nothing else is going on.

Any part of my skin can get sore and cause problems but I haven't had this problem specifically and definitely haven't had an infection... (yet!! 🙄).

It's worth investigating what's causing the PA in case it is a whole GI tract problem. Good to rule out Chrone's and ulcerative colitis, medication reactions, etc.
