OCT scan at opticians and brain clot
Recently someone complained about being charged £10 for an OCT scan at a well known opticians. It was certainly worth the money for me. The optometrist noticed changes from my previous annual scan, some swelling of the nerves and a slight bleed. She advised me to go to A&E to have it checked out.

I have a wonderful Solicitor
hi everyone, it’s been a while since I last posted my updated news. My divorce has been put on hold for whatever reason which I do not understand. I payed out 600 pounds for flights and accommodation but had to cancel due to the above. I am feeling so much better than before as I was in a mess physically

Understanding Palliative Care
I received a email today: There is a lot of confusion when it comes to palliative care.
Many people equate the term palliative care with hospice
, but the two terms are not interchangeable. Palliative care is a medical approach that can be applied at any stage of disease – even at the time of

Partner with Alzheimers
My partner has Alzheimer’s Disease. Last winter he was feeling very uncomfortable living alone so I invited him to live with me which he did and he was very grateful. But he began to have what I believe were panic attacks as a result of a new living situation, being separated from his beloved cats

omeprazole with aspirin
So I had hip surgery last week, this time last week as it happens, and was discharged with aspirin for dvt prevention, and Omeprazole to protect from that obvs. My question is, as I have low stomach acid anyway, could I afford to drop the Omeprazole? I’m not a fan of any of these “counter” medications

Does any treatment help with fatigue?
Hi friends! Diagnosed with ET approximately 8 years ago, but like many of you, there are indications that I actually had ET for several years prior to that. Platelets most recently at 860, after after years of being relatively stable between 600-700. Only treatment is daily aspirin. I am 57 years old

Neck Muscle Spasm
Hi I am new here and have had fibro for over 28years. In the last couple of weeks my neck has swollen and my Dr has sent me to hospital twice, Had ultrasound yesterday and thankfully my carotid artery (Which they were worried about) was clear and no sign of anything nasty. The consultant then concluded

I am struggling with my PTSD and anxiety.
My PTSD and anxiety have been triggered again, over the past 6 weeks, following a fight with my wife. Having trouble reigning in the overthinking and hypervigilince. What have you done to manage your mind in tough times? I feel a bit bombarded by worry.

Serrapeptase
Has anyone used serrapeptase to help with inflammation and the development of urethra scar tissue after IMRT. I have read it is used in Europe to help alleviate pulmonary fibrosis, apparently it has fibrin dissolving properties.

Pelvic Congestion Syndrome
Hello Fellow Members. I’m new to this forum but I already belong to the lovely Rheumatoid Arthritis forum. My gynaecologist referred me for a trans-vaginal u/s scan which revealed massive varicose veins and a diagnosis of “genuine” PCS. I’m 75 years old and my quality of life is severely compromised

New research on NSAID's and inflammation
From Rhonda Patrick, PHD. Can chronic use of anti-inflammatory agents paradoxically promote chronic inflammation through compensatory host response? https://www.foundmyfitness.com https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15922118/ From her newsletter: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs

What makes me so very sleepy after home hemodialysis? Why have my legs become very soft since dialysis? I can't walk.

I feel dreadful I am wailing through my usual dreadful medical disorders, but was not aware that my wee sister had PTSD for ten years!
I was laying on for years about my health laying it on thick, getting her to solve my legal and background matters, I have my ups and downs like herself, I have had blank periods whereby nothing goes or comes out due to an especially bad time, epilepsy, early dementia, prostate cancer, etc, it could
