Change in temperature.

My wife has had bronch since being a teenager and has always struggled with her body temperature. Of late this has been worse, her thermostat does not work properly. She would love to go swimming but the change from being in the water and the air temperature sees her temperature either shoot up until she is sweating buckets full or drops and she is shivering. Any suggestions on how to treat this would be appreciated. Thank you, Chris.

Has she had had hormones checked. I have had sweats from being 38 and is an imbalance in my hormones. When younger the pill helped and after that was on hrt, since being taken off it all came back and has never stopped. It maybe something else so best to get checked out x

I’m similar too. My husband says my thermostat is broken. It’s awful. I tried evening primrose to no avail. I’m either boiling or cold xx

No to your first question, but this has been the case for as long as I can remember. The change in temp seems to cause bronchials to constrict, making breathing difficult and sending temp up. Brief summary, not a clinical one. It is more annoying than anything else so not a great worry. Thank you, Chris.

Hi, sorry I've no suggestions but I have bronchiectasis and also struggle with my body temperature (cardi on cardi off all day long) put it down to being very underweight but maybe its a bronchi problem?

Think it is due to bronchi. Slight cold draught and the bronchi in your lungs contract and reduce oxygen supply making you feel cold. Please note this is how I read the situation, I am not a doctor. But cardi on and off describes how my wife feels some days.
