Steroid Injection in Knee
Hi, I have had a steroid injection in my knee, and it hasn't worked to relieve the pain. In fact, the pain and swelling is worse. Has anyone else suffered this after injection?

Got to get this off my chest!
After 2 years of not seeing RA consultant and being in a constant flare for all of that time (mtx and Hyrimoz and steroids just aren’t holding) I finally got to see an underling yesterday. Knees are particularly bad, swollen, painful without respite day and night. This guy (never seen him before and

Need some advice about bursitis on elbow
Diagnosed last week with RA. Very good appointment with rheumatologist and have started treatment with a plan ahead. Had a steroid injection and may start oral steroids next week depending on how my hands feel. Methotrexate starts nexts week too. However, first time ever I have developed an elbow bursitis

So eventually an appointment for November comes through which then got

First steroid injection
Hello everyone I was diagnosed in August and am having my first flare after overdoing it a couple of weeks ago. I've got increased joint pain, swelling and tenderness particularly in my knees, a low grade fever, and feel like I've been hit by a bus. I'm exhausted all the time, my mobility is limited

Controlled RA?
How do we determine if our RA meds are working well? Is it considered a good outcome if regular paracetamol and ibuprofen (in addition to the prescribed Mtx) keep pain in check or should we expect the RA specific meds (Dmards et al) to give a pain free result on their own? My blood tests have not shown

Severe pain with carpal tunnel syndrome no medic support.
So I’m grateful to be 32 weeks pregnant tomorrow after losing our daughter at 20 weeks pregnant last year and 2 early miscarriages that followed her loss. We have a 2 and half year old daughter after 7 year struggle. I had CTS in my pregnancy with my 2 and a half year old daughter but it was manageable

Increased AF episodes following steroid injection
Hi everyone. New on this forum. I have had AF intermittently for some 6 years and have noticed my heart can get excited by simplest stimulant. Recently I’ve had steroid pain injections to my hip and it seems very much as if this causes increased AF episodes with high pulse rates. Has anyone else experienced

How to prepare for Rheumatology Appointment
Hello, I'm new here. I have an appointment with rheumatology on Saturday, and would love some advice on how to prepare for it fully. I've been referred because a recurrent miscarriage clinic picked up a positive ANA test- the repeat test was also positive (a weak positive.) I have struggled with joint

Steroid injection
Hi everyone. I had a steroid injection this morning in my little finger. It's been locking alot lately and causing pain in my lower arm. I'm told it's because of skin thickening in my hand. Only diagnosed in July. Has anyone else had this experience?

How quickly did it take depo-medrone steroid injection to work for your Lupus swelling?
I had a depo-medrone systemic injection for my lupus swelling. I was advised it should take effect 1-2 days, unless I misunderstood. I would be so grateful to know how long this steroid has taken for others to reduce the inflammation.
