Hi I have ongoing pain in my hip area that I am awaiting X-ray results ( I have bursitis and have had 2 steroid injections done ) and sacroiliac pain which I’m seeing a physio but this is ongoing since May so really pushing for MRI .
My GP has prescribed Celecobix 100mcg twice a day but wants me to take Lansoprazole and I’m really worried it will affect my Thyroxine &T3 absorption.
I take my Thyroxine &T3 at 6.30 am. Could anyone advise me on this please ?
thank you in advance x

What is the reason your GP wants you to take Lansoprazole, it's usually prescribed for high stomach acid conditions such as acid reflux, heartburn, etc., and you haven't mentioned this.
If you do need Lansoprazole it can affect absorption of thyroid meds so you'd need to take them as far away from each other as possible, at least 4 hours.
Hi susie, it’s to protect my stomach while I’m taking the pain medication, think he’s being ultra cautious, I really don’t want to take it so will make sure I take the pain medication with food I think x
