Hello everyone, DHEA results, could anyone advise?
So I have been trialling
steroids
with my Endocrinologist to see how I get along as he suspects borderline / the startings of adrenal insufficiency.

Saying hi
I am on

Surgery for synovial chondromatosis anyone?
The elbow is currently relatively pain-free due to a recent infusion of
steroids
but extension of the arm is still limited (although better).

no medication
No they can’t offer me anything else I was on
steroids
but advise not to use them as the long term effect. How am I going to cope without anything except paracetamol. The mornings are hell.

It is loud and intrusive and sounds like a dirty rusty old generator on
steroids
. The discomfort I have daily is all on the left side - every now and then I get a right earache but the daily pain / headache / earache / neck pain is all left side.

Increase or Decrease
My problem is not knowing what is causing the pain, I thought if I upped the
steroids
, and the pain went away, then it was a flare,, or I could drop the dose, and see if it gets worse.

What to expect from Neuropsychometry tests?
After a two week stint in hospital he was released with a course of
steroids
and anti-psychotic medication. We are so grateful he was able to leave hospital walking and talking.

Still on
steroids
I started to taper off over a period of 10 days. Within 2 days I felt ill not realising, until a friend suggested , it could be steroid withdrawal. I've had all the symptoms plus loads of crying. I was shocked. I wish the hospital had warned me this could happen.

I’m guessing that the culprit is lithium but I’m wondering whether
steroids
can cause this ?

PMR - need to take back control - GP call tomorrow
Where I think I am right now: I do have a polymyalgia that is extremely responsive to
steroids
. The stiffness and fatigue has been pretty debilitating. I believe that I have PMR and that I still have it.

asthma and the seaside
Hi everyone I really struggle in the summer with my asthma, have tried all sorts such as Xolair which didn't work for me (not eligible for the other biologics apparently) It seems I'm just expected to get by on
steroids
and staying indoors.

Fed up with meds
Steroids
were amazing but obviously can't stay on them and I think they affected my blood sugar. Methotrexate made my hair fallout. Now on mycophenolate which keeps causing my wcc to drop. I am still taking them at the min with a wwc of 3.4.

He is now out of hospital but on an awful lot of medication including
steroids
and tablets that suppress alcohol cravings. He has been diagnosed with Alcoholic Hepatitis for the second time in 2 years.
