Advice for hand pain
Getting a Doctors appointment at our surgery can take 2weeks so I’m wondering if upping my dose of
steroids
from 4.5 to maybe 9.5 for a week or two might help. Any advice gratefully received as always.

Bruising from high dose steroid inhaler
She did also ask about my asthma and how many causes of
steroids
I had had in the last year. One in March (covid), one in December (a cold) and the last one about a month or so ago (sand). The nurse said that there were too many courses (although my GPs are fine about it).

GP insisting on using CRP & ESR as inflammatory markers...and managing to get a creatine kinase blood test ordered...legs are still an issue
But we ended up going through my meds and she asked about
steroids
being on my repeat....I said that although my lupus is largely controlled by my mix of meds, I have used oral
steroids
twice this year, they are an emergency plan for me....so it gave me the opportunity to tell her about my left leg issue

When I was diagnosed with poly myalgia I was prescribed
steroids
. The subsequent weight gain and the possibility of weakness in my bones and diabetes meant I had to take some action and I started C25k once more. I run on a treadmill and am now on week 2 run 2 but am finding it really hard going.

Another auto immune condition: Lichen sclerosus
Lichen sclerosus is an unpleasant condition, mostly post-menopausal women, no known cure, just topical
steroids
which 'may help with symptoms'. My GP gave me no advice and little sympathy, other than the steroid cream and to come back in 3 months. And watch for any cancerous changes.

Asthma Flare up
It started around the start of the month and my Dr gave me
steroids
but I was still symptomatic when I finished so they gave me another course along with antibiotics which seemed to do the trick.

Update
The consultant has also said that if his biliburin levels come down dramatically over the next few days he can come home and will be on
steroids
for approx a month.

Staying on 5mg indefinitely.....
I know this is likely due to the
steroids
but may also be genetic as my mother was very active before being diagnosed with PMR. and may have remained so had her steroid dosages been managed a lot better.

Steroid withdrawal
So all in all I have been taking
Steroids
for some time and after my discharge from hospital I have slowly weaned off them but I am feeling so poorly...light headed and body aches. Is this to be expected?

Newly diagnosed
Now on a regime of immune suppressants and
steroids
which keep it in check. In the meantime anlupus anticoagulant test now positive twice. I've read that ocular inflammation can be the first presentation of lupus. Anyone else had similar involvement of their eyes?

Methotrexate for the summer
🤷🏼♀️ After a 7 week course of
steroids
the rash faded but didn’t completely disappear. It returned with a vengeance in April and he gave me a steroid injection because the tablets had really upset my innards.

Any advice on tapering prednisolone with Methotrexate and RoActemra?
Was told to reduce
steroids
from a high of 55mg at 5mg/week back in May. Am now on 20mg, reducing to 15mg on this programme at the weekend. All seems to be going fairly smoothly but am aware this reduction is now well over the 10% recommended on taper plans.

Hello everyone, DHEA results, could anyone advise?
So I have been trialling
steroids
with my Endocrinologist to see how I get along as he suspects borderline / the startings of adrenal insufficiency.
