WTAF do we do now, what do I ask for?
Sorry for a long post. Feeling more than a little fragile, defeated and lost. We just heard from our clinic's counsellor as our PGT test results came back - our 1 embryo from our 2nd round is missing a chromosome and would not have been a viable pregnancy - and all they can say is it is sporadic and

Luke’s Liver
Good evening all. Since January I have experienced liver issues which was initially thought to of been caused by a virus and assumed I’d make a full recovery despite my liver being inflamed and having highly elevated liver counts after a course of Steroids My levels did return to normal and I seemed

diazepam tapering added prednisilone
i was put on diazepam 7 weeks ago for excruciating muscle spasms left side of back. Didn’t wirk so after 4 weeks started tapering. On Saturday dr added prednisilone. Spasms stopped within 24hrs. I’ve now been told that to take steroids while tapering makes withdrawals much worse. Is this true

Venting about my latest flare
I don't have a question or useful info to share. Just wanted to get this rant off my chest! I've had 3 major flares of lupus since I was diagnosed 7-8 years ago. The first brought about my initial diagnosis. The second was 4 years later in 2020 when I stopped my medication for a few weeks because I

Advice on liver and kidney results on latest blood test
Diagnosed end of April, 2 days of intravenous pred @ 500, 1 day at intravenous @ 1mg and then onto 60, 50, 40, 35 - just started on 30 today. Bloods from 3rd June came back with liver and kidney markers out of range ....... steroids 🤷♀️ Have a slot to discuss the results with the surgery pharmacy

Chronic Fatigue with PMR
Could anybody please clarify is it the inflammation related to PMR or is it the Steroids (Preds) that cause this very debilitating fatigue and brain fog? Thanking you

Autoimmune issues and IVF - a question
Hi all, I'll be having my first FET in a few weeks time, and something has been bugging me for a while. Transfer #3 protocol decisions- would love some input on medicated vs natural FET and Steroid use
Hi, I'm trying to make a decision about our next transfer, and finding it difficult so would really appreciate any insight or experience from the group. I've had 2 frozen transfers of good quality 5-day embryos created with donor eggs. First was a fully medicated transfer, I had a missed miscarriage

Rheumy helpline not replied to me 😢
Hi all, I've had RA since 2018 and I've had a cocktail of drugs since then, but I've now been on sarilumab for around 2 years and was doing okish up until a few months ago. I've rang Rheumy helpline last Wednesday and we have to leave a message but still had no reply. My appointment should have been

Eye problems following catheter ablation
I am now 10 weeks post catheter ablation.Following the procedure I developed aura migraines daily for around 10 days. The fact sheets explained that this was a possible complication and should rectify itself, which it did and 🤞 I have not had any migraines since. I have now developed a bloodshot patch

Core Biopsy done today
Core biopsy done which allows for more tissue to be sampled compared to just aspiration. They took 4 specimens from the largest brightest node in my neck today to check for Richters. If it comes back inconclusive, I will insist on an excisional biopsy, but from what I was told today, that would be more

Agony and morphine?
Afternoon all, Hope you're all as well as can be, sorry but you've all been so supportive I thought I'd write here again with my ongoing issues. If you have seen my previous post you will know the last month or so I've had sickness and migraine followed by a staph infection then finally mottled skin

Terminal ileitis
My colonoscopy found mild inflammation in the TI area which they said looked like Terminal Ileitis. Biopsies were taken but they came back normal. I haven't discussed the results with my consultant yet as I had to give in a stool sample to check the calprotectin level first. It looks like it isn't Crohn's

Reducing steroids and adrenal symptoms
I’ve recently experienced symptoms which made me think of Pred-induced diabetes. In particular, my metabolism does not seem to adjust properly to food, with post-prandial dips and especially waking up at 3-4am with uncomfortable overheating. But my HbA1c measurement remains around 41, which is just

synacthen test
I’m to have a synacthen test next week. I am taking 5 mg of prednisolone daily and have been told to stop the pred 3days before the test. Will this be ok. As have been told never to stop steroids suddenly ?

Dermatomyositis - is it cyclical?
I’m still awaiting formal diagnosis. Tested positive for Anti Mi2, ANA 360 and had rashes across my neck, shoulders, eyebrows, behind ears and side of head since October. have had 12 weeks of steroids which finished and not now on any meds. My question is does your dm go in cycles? I feel like I have

Another BFN with a top grade blastocyst …
Our first transfer ended in a BFN, second in a MMC and third in another BFN. The eggs were all AA and lining described as perfect each time. I feel like we threw everything at this cycle - probiotics, extra progesterone, Intralipids, steroids, clexane too. Feeling totally deflated and wondering if it
