Another BFN with a top grade blastocyst …

Our first transfer ended in a BFN, second in a MMC and third in another BFN. The eggs were all AA and lining described as perfect each time.

I feel like we threw everything at this cycle - probiotics, extra progesterone, Intralipids, steroids, clexane too. Feeling totally deflated and wondering if it’s just ‘bad luck’ or there’s something more I should be doing.

I’m also feeling like the longer you’re on this journey the lonelier you feel. 😞

Sadly I can't say anything helpful, but just wanted to say I am really sorry to read this... This journey can take a huge toll physically, mentally and emotionally... and yes it can feel extremly lonely even if you have people who support you... 😔I am sending you lots of love and strength! 💕

Sorry hear about it, don't loose hope, there are other tests that can be done that might be affecting you.Maybe ask the about implantation failure and other areas to test.

Good luck

Really sorry to hear this. I had 4 failed transfers with top quality embryos. I decided after that to do the Alice, Era and Emma tests and my protocol was changed slightly based on the results. I also did PGT-A testing in my last cycle. What surprised me was that one of our top quality embryos (a 4AA) was abnormal but some of the others that were not top quality were fine. It's really difficult to tell just from grading. I'm now 21 weeks pregnant with a PGT-A tested embryo. It was a long road to get here (3 years of IVF) and I almost quit before my last cycle. Really hope it works out for you and you get your little miracle X

Also happy to chat - just read your bio and you sound very similar to me. I have hashimotos, which is a thyroid condition, and we had to go through ivf due to my partner's low sperm count. Anything I can do to help just ask! X

Unfortunately not 😔 found out today it was negative and also got my period as an added bonus. Gutted and hurt to say the least x

Hi my lovely,

I have a couple of ideas that might help. I’ll pm you tomorrow.

So sorry to hear about this. It’s a shitty journey xx

So sorry you’re going this - it’s so so tough. Have you considered PGTA testing? You could also post your latest thyroid results over on the thyroid board - TSH. The NHS says tsh should be under 2.5 but my endo says it should be under 1 for pregnancy. Also worth checking thyroid anti bodies. You should also up your dose by 25mg once pregnant xx

Honestly it's pot luck. There's nothing you can do. I've tried every supplement and holistic treatments . Ours were all poor grade. My little one is a result of a 3CC. The only one that worked. People get too caught up on grades. Don't feel discouraged.

So sorry to read this. Took me 7 transfers of all AA/AB embryos with no lining issues x

Hey, did you do any further tests etc? I have had 3 failed transfers (5 embryos) and all BFN.

I am having my second egg collection on Monday and will test the embryos but also not sure where to go after that if all okay! X

No I didn’t have any other years apart from a uterine contractions scan before transfer. My clinic didn’t advocate NK cells testing or ERA/EMMA/ALICE and I went with their advice. They did put me on Bondi protocol which is prednisolone and clexsne x

My clinic also don’t seem keen on era/ Emma/ Alice. I was put on prednislone and fragmin last transfer. It’s all a minefield isn’t it!

Lots of different views by different clinic’s and people on this forum. I decided I picked my clinic for a reason and had to trust their advice. They explained their reasoning which made sense to me. I do think a lot of it is chance. Implantation is the least researched and least know forks unfortunately. X

So sorry you're having to deal with this. It can all be so confusing and hard to know what on earth to do. When you listen to the NHS dr's there's really not much extra we can be doing and there's lacking evidence for extras and add on's. My consultant recommended checking the HFEA website which answered lots of questions I had. I hope you get to relax, replenish and enjoy some freedom xx

Hi, I had 4 failed transfers and what finally made the difference was the EMA, Alice and ERA. I needed lots of probiotics and an extra 30 hours of progesterone before transfer. Then my 5th transfer worked and I’m 13 weeks pregnant at 43! Good luck x

no real advice, but I have had a similar journey to you - although after 3 transfers (5embryos) I’ve never had a BFP. I’m now having my second egg collection on Monday and going to test the embryos - apart from that not sure where to go from here.

Sending you loads of love, I know how you’re feeling all too well xxx
