Hi all I'm newbie. Anyone here have lung damage due to Amiodarone treatment?
Rather than going into too much detail I will keep it brief. Was prescribed Amiodarone for AFib and took it for a total of four months six days. After being on it for 3 months I started coughing mostly while asleep. Also started to get really bad pain in left lung lobe that was much worse if I lay on

Update
I had an rheumatologist appointment 8 February which was thorough and resulted in a plan of action. It took until the next morning to process it all but it’s encouraging that action is being taken. My pred was increased to 30 for 2 weeks and then will slowly be reduced. A booster steroid injection that

red inflamed area around my eye
hi there, I use Latanoprost and Dorzolamide eye drops following a closed angle glaucoma last year. Recently the area around my eye has become very red and inflamed and itchy. Has this happened to anyone else? My doctor gave me steroid cream which has helped a bit. Thanks

BFP last week but now ill with suspected COVID.
Tested positive after my FET but ever since I’ve been feeling poorly with covid symptoms. Persistent cough, fever, headaches etc. I’m worried that this will impact the pregnancy because it’s so early on - any advice? My viability scan isn’t until 22/12 and I feel like I’m going to be an absolute mess

Surgery for synovial chondromatosis anyone?
Hello! I have psoriatic spondylitis / arthritis. In one elbow I have synovial chondromatosis with lots of calcified bodies floating around in the joint causing pain and limited movement. There's some disagreement with the doctors at the hospital as to whether it's primary chondromatosis (a very rare

Curious about good spell
Hello knowledgeable people, I am really curious about one aspect of my PMR , which I have had for 3 years, and am managing with advice from this site and Prednisalone. For context, I have over time halved my original 20 mg dose through slow tapering, .5 reductions and several increases to manage bad

Baby Athletes Foot
My baby is 5 months old and I think he may have athletes foot if that’s at all possible! I think it’s probably from where he has had sweaty feet and then worn baby gros overnight with covered feet, we keep his feet bare during the day when at home to let them air out and dry. Is there anything over the

A lot has happened
Hi all, It's been a crazy ride the last well I'd say 6 months. Back in Feb I went to A & E with pain on my right side where my ribs were. After a lot of waiting and tests, they suspected a blot clot Thankfully it was not, it was put down to a viral infection. I had previously had a chest infection in

Haemophilus Influenzae
I'm looking for input from anyone on our site who might have had trouble with the organism Haemophilus Influenzae; or, anyone who is otherwise knowledgeable about it. I've just finished a fight with an upper respiratory illness over six weeks, and it was very similar to one I fought back in January.

Baseline figure from lung function test
After 10 days post hospital admission with pneumonia I went to have a lung function test at my local hospital. The result of the test was 438 a new baseline. My usual top peak flow is 500 (very unused as it doesn't match my height, sex and ethnicity) I should be blowing 420. One explanation was that

Vitamin A - retinol.
Dr. John Campbell posted a video about how low vitamin A (retinol) levels predispose a person to experience pneumonia from the Mycoplasm pneumoniae which is currently at near epidemic levels among children in northern China. No surprise here to be honest considering the severe lockdowns. Children have

Mind and Body Syndrome
I have suffered RLS for more than 20 years and currently take Gabapentin. I have also had long covid since March 22- chronic fatigue type symptoms (14 different symptoms in all) which waxed and waned but hadn’t improved. So debilitating that I took early retirement and rarely left the house. I have

Opthomology
Is ophthalmology consultation standard with GCA or do you have to demand it ? Everything is blurred now which came on with steroids - saw my usual optician out of concern but only very slight decline in vision and eyes otherwise healthy. I was surprised when he said come back in two years. Been asking
