Covid and flu vaccination ?
Tomorrow I am due for both a covid and flu vaccination. I received a letter from the health authorities and I was offered both as I have the relevant health issues. This is the first time I fall in this category, even when taking pred. and being in the hospital for 5 days with asthma attack (covid) in

removal of stitches after bypass
has anyone had stitches removed after a bypass operation? I had a bypass 4 years ago. Had keloid scarring so my go gave me steroid injection along my scar. The skin on my chest is quite thin and the wire used to rewire my sternum is now very visible. I’m worried the wires will break through my skin.

Methotrexate
Hi everyone. Anyone on here who has been prescribed methotrexate. I’ve been on hydroxychloroquine for 10 years now. Last year I had a flare up when we had the 2 really hot 🥵 days. After ringing my own drs who told me to use antihistamine cream, medication, cool showers etc, which I’d already done, also

What a start with V+O
Well I finally started my treatment and the first week was quite a roller coaster. Day 1 ,I was only 10 minutes into the treatment and I had a severe reaction. Blood pressure dropped to 70/30 , hot flashes, chills, nausea but 5 nurses did their thing and reversed it pretty quickly. Completed the dose

Looks like after 1.5 weeks of being off Prednisolone (again) it's all flaring up again. So it's not the Sulfasalazine (of which im now on 6 a day, that's kept it at bay it's

Taking Prolia with Rusolitinib (Jakafi)
I have been taking Jakafi (15 mg) twice a day for the last 3 years for my polycythemia vera. I also take blood thinners for my thrombocytosis since I have had blood clots in my lungs twice in the last 2 years. I have had osteoporosis for a while, but my T scores from bone density test are really

Advice for hand pain
For the last week I’ve had pain at the base of my left thumb. It’s similar on my right hand but not nearly as sore. It has got worse as the week has gone on. I’m not sure if it’s PMR related or maybe possibly carpal tunnel syndrome. Getting a Doctors appointment at our surgery can take 2weeks so I’m

Covid - Beware Getting Treatment - Don’t Test Positive on a Friday - Some Answers
Well I said I would update you all regarding the ordeal I had had regarding my previous posts on this subject. Don’t want to bore you all but some may be interested in what I have managed to find out. I laid out to the NHS what I needed answers to and what they were doing about it to prevent it happening

chest infection
I am currently tapering from 30mg to 25mg prednisolone for GCA. (been taking pred since February). I have had a productive cough and what I believe is a chest infection for 2 weeks. It is definitely better this week than last week and the guaifenesin I have taken has helped. I do not feel unwell

Period flu?
Just wondering if anyone is experiencing what I am. I underwent excision surgery for stage 3 endo in November, however more recently the pain is worsening again but right now that’s not the worst symptom- the last 3/4 months, either during or instantly after my period I’m hit with the WORST flu/cold
