COVID-19 & Abnormal Coagulation.
Recent papers below. As some will know, I am very interested in PCa-related coagulation. I believe that control of microclots may prevent metastasis (& further mets in those who have some.) Clot control can also prevent DVTs & fatal pulmonary embolisms. The D-dimer test is very useful when a clot is

Anyone else have INR readings like this?
This constant swinging is ruining my life. It makes me so ill. Getting very down and depressed. My diet is as advised. I’m Lupus anticoagulant positive. Here is a graph of this months readings, last 4 tests. It has been suggested that maybe I don’t metabolise vit K properly. Anyone had that problem?

Peak Flow Advice?
Hi peeps Just wondering how important it is to keep track of your peak flow? I check it when my chest is tight and I’m struggling but apart from that I don’t really bother... Is it worth checking it regularly? I tend not to really worry about these things as I don’t feel things are that bad... but

PBC and diet
2 days ago I posted about PBC / itch/ diet. I wondered if anyone had been advised to follow a diet or remove foods/drinks from their diet when diagnosed with PBC? I've not had a single reply relating to diet! From my own experience, I was never advised that there are certain inflammatory foods which

Need help understanding living with asthma.
Hi folks, I have been living with asthma for only about a year and a half after having an asthma attack that landed me in ICU for 8 days. I am okay now and have not had any incidents since. But the last year and a half has been problematic and confusing because I am constantly feeling like my airways

How many grammes of fat a day?
Hi, I’m new here and I was wondering who tracks how much fat is eaten in a day and generally whether you think it’s good or not so good to use a macronutrients and/or calorie tracker? I’m day one of LCHF and use a Fitbit app to track most things daily! Thank you.

Help, not sure what's going on with anxiety
I'm going to try to sum this up. I'm trying to figure out where to go from here. Previously, I was on NP thyroid and low dose Naltrexone. Did not have many problems with anxiety or depression. I had moments but no big deal. I did gain 25 pounds in the last few months on it. Anyways, after that, went

Peak flow test
I have recently been given a peak flow test to test for asthma. I am waiting a call back from my GP. I was told to do the test and then again after I use the inhaler. My question is how long do I wait after using the inhaler before I do the peak flow test? Thanks

Itch / bile acids / diet
For the last few weeks I have been suffering a prickly itch over all of my body. I have huge sympathy with those who have lived with this for years :-(. I have written down the names of 6 different medications mentioned in the forums, such as Cholestyramine (Questran) - it's my understanding they

Knowing when to stop
I'm pondering how to know when it's time to switch from losing to maintaining. I'm not looking for advice here, but I have been musing on it for a while, then me and Hidden started discussing it deep in the Daily Diary. I thought others might want to join in. The question is, how do you know when

Started Fast 800 today
Starting Fast 800 today. Hoping to do 8 weeks to tackle visceral fat and get a break for this body! New to fasting recently, since fasting a fair amount a few years ago (7 day complete fast, 3 week Daniel Fast, and IF). I am interested if there is an upper limit of calories? Its LCHF Mediterranean diet

Chicken and bacon Caesar salad
This is today's something new (I am trying to eat something new every two days) As I am low carb, I just did without the croutons (must think of a way to add crunch), so added the garlic to the mayonnaise to get garlic flavour. Very simple: cos lettuce, garlic mayonnaise, parmesan shavings, anchovies

Back again after an absence
Totally screwed up good work from last year using IF and LCHF. The gremlin of emotional eating won. I’m working on it and know LCHF is the best way forward for me but not so sure about IF... but missing breakfast has now become a way of life. I’ve written a bit more about it here: https://healthunlocked.com

want to try LCHF but don't know where to start
Hi my name is Pixielou and I am 61 years old. I have read so much about LCHF way of eating and would like to try it. I am so overweight and have osteoarthritis. I understand the principles of this way of eating, but just don't know how to plan meals. I have to eat on the go at lunchtimes, usually outside
