I’ve got really bad stomach cramps today. Is this a symptom of low carb? I’m on my seventh day.

Qvar and peak flow
I'm 12 weeks post-viral and have not been diagnosed with asthma. I (still) have breathlessness and itchy chest. I was given salbutamol 8 weeks ago and a trial of Qvar 4 weeks ago. I had an off-the-record chat with the respiratory nurse at the GP's where I work (not where I'm registered) last week. She

Hormone imbalance and LCHF
I’ve been looking at recommendations around balancing hormones. Protein at every meal is mentioned every time. Interesting. Are there any good links out there that anyone has come across?

I’m amazed!
Day 6 today and I’ve lost 4.1kgs or 9lbs !!!! I can not believe it! Although I’ve never been this heavy (84.1kg) and had suspected the week loss in wk 1 to be good, of all the many many diets I have done over the years I’ve never stuck to LCHF before and I’ve certainly not ever had such a huge loss.

Post Covid Asthma won't settle
Hi, this is going to be a long one. I came down with suspected Covid at the end of March. Previous to this my asthma was well controlled on fostair 4 x 100/6, ventolin as needed (once a month or less), dymista and cetirazine. I've been on this lot for about 7 years with the occasional issue after respiratory

Still having hypo symptoms
I had been on 150mcg of thyroxine but due to still being hypo, this was increased to 175mcg. I saw an endo privately and as I was still having hypo symptoms, my thyroxine has now been increased to 250mcg, which is a lot more than I should be on in relation to my size. The endo has checked my vitamin.and

Last night I stayed off my inhaler to test my reaction. This morning my peak flow was usual 550 and SP02 97. Am I being foolish to wonder

COVID-19 & Abnormal Coagulation.
Recent papers below. As some will know, I am very interested in PCa-related coagulation. I believe that control of microclots may prevent metastasis (& further mets in those who have some.) Clot control can also prevent DVTs & fatal pulmonary embolisms. The D-dimer test is very useful when a clot is

Yo-yo dieter
Hello I feel like I have been dieting all my adult life! I lost nearly 2 stone last year and promised myself I would never put it back on... I have around 4.5 stone to lose. I enjoy running (sort of) and have been going 5 times a week between 4-12km since lockdown. My diet is mostly healthy, but I

Anyone else have INR readings like this?
This constant swinging is ruining my life. It makes me so ill. Getting very down and depressed. My diet is as advised. I’m Lupus anticoagulant positive. Here is a graph of this months readings, last 4 tests. It has been suggested that maybe I don’t metabolise vit K properly. Anyone had that problem?

Peak Flow Advice?
Hi peeps Just wondering how important it is to keep track of your peak flow? I check it when my chest is tight and I’m struggling but apart from that I don’t really bother... Is it worth checking it regularly? I tend not to really worry about these things as I don’t feel things are that bad... but

PBC and diet
2 days ago I posted about PBC / itch/ diet. I wondered if anyone had been advised to follow a diet or remove foods/drinks from their diet when diagnosed with PBC? I've not had a single reply relating to diet! From my own experience, I was never advised that there are certain inflammatory foods which
