Weather and breathing
I try to
quit
smoking
but end up completely breathless. I now go 2 or 3 days without a cig and then find I must have one to get my shaking under control. This of course does not happen when I am in hospital and wondering if it is the drugs they are giving me.

Ashamed.
I’m massively overweight, I
quit
smoking
last April and since then my weight and anxiety has spiralled. I weighed tonight and I’m ashamed of what I am. I’m concerned for health if I don’t change soon..

Weight for it!
I workout, I do weight lifting for two years already and my weight is always within my BMI but only this time when i
quit
smoking
that I went beyond. I am glad that now my craving for junk foods are slowly fading away and I am almost back to normal.

I want the old me back !!!
. 🤬🤬😥 I’m always in a good mood till I
quit
smoking
. The nurse at work says it’ll get better it’s just part of the withdrawals. I am depressed. I have chronic foot and back pain. At work I’ve been cussing 🤬 like a sailor, which isn’t me at all. Am I the only one ☝️ going through this??

Newbie and scared to death. PLEASE HELP
Of course he told me it was imperative that I
quit
smoking
immediately and I absolutely plan to ASAP........but as most of you probably know, I have always believed my cigarettes help "calm me down." Until I get some information and stop this horrible panic, I'm afraid I'm still reaching for them.

12 Hours til "1" Month
So so proud. 12 hours until 1 month non
smoking
. My
quit
buddy started back but I have held on strong! It's hard and still is but I am doing it. To those in doubt, please give yourselves credit. As long as you keep trying, that day will come where it is permanent.

Help with newbie
I thought that after you
quit
smoking
if you didn’t have it then you wouldn’t get it. This is news to us. No doctor ever said he had COPD. They said short breath is due to pneumonia. I am scared now. I was hoping we’d start getting better again and get back to work and go on with our lives.

Just quit- got a cough
I
quit
by using the anti
smoking
tablet champnix, which I started taking a fortnight ago. So far so good, apart from a dry tickly cough during the night.... read some posts which suggest this is quite normal which made me feel a bit better about it. I intend to persevere with not smoking.

First time ever experiencing anxiety while quitting smoking...
Hi I just
quit
smoking
2 weeks ago & have been having bad anxiety attacks at night, during the day I feel fine, but as soon as I start to doze off I awake with a flushing sensation, racing heart (anxiety?). At first I thought it was from nicotine patches, tried sleeping without but kept happening.
