Update on trip to rehab unit
Hi, thought I'd let you know how the appointment went. It was strangely reassuring going back and seeing old faces, as I thought there is little more they an help me with but it was reassuring knowing he knew what I was talking about when I found it difficult to explain the problems with my sight, balance

Has anyone any idea if this antihistamine has any effect on T3? I have been taking it but I'm not sure if its having a negative effect on my absorption of T3. Thanks

Rituximab experience
Full of high hopes for my new treatment, I went along to the infusion unit at the Western General in Edinburgh to have my first dose of rituximab. Over the last couple of years I've had bad reactions to methotrexate and sulfasalazine, no response to Cimzia or Humira and consequently RA has been progressing

Does anyone suffer from red "butterfly" type facial rash and Lupus has been ruled out?
I have had a red rash on both cheeks and less so on my nose....If it gets warm the rash becomes hot to the touch...began 3 months ago...I believe it was initially an allergic reaction to a new pillow (foam that shapes to the head, neck etc.)..I did not let the "chemical gases" airout before using....got

My journey from misery to hope.
I wanted to share something. As some of you are aware, I had my Levothyroxine reduced just over 7 years ago from 150mcg down to 100mcg purely on the basis of the TSH. At the time I had only basic understanding of my situation as a post-total thyroidectomy patient. I had been quite well

The bee sting
I'm feeling better in myself today, but my face is worse. I have swelling above my eye as well now so I can barely open it. Taking antihistamine tablets and using antihistamine cream so don't think there's much else I can do.

Mtxate injections: rash
Well, I went to GP about the rash I reported earlier this week. Diffuse, red pinpoints. The GP phoned rheumatology who suggested I stop methotrexate completely and wait til my next appointment - which isnt for a while. Unhelpful. Then she phoned dermatology who agreed to see me this afternoon. Was looked

pinpoint rash around ankles
I've developed this rash - like tiny midge bites over the last few weeks. Very itchy, respond to antihistamine cream. I think it must be midges - Scotland, warmer weather, it would make sense wouldnt it. But it does coincide with starting injectable methotrexate. I'm getting 20 mgs which is the same
