Itchy red spots on forearms? I have been given different names for the rash by all my doctors
Mine are very red an splotchy, usually are flat but sometimes are slightly raised. When mine start to heal after about three weeks the pigment turns brown, scaly.and still itches. A skin doctor said we lack vitamin C from avoiding the sun. and to always wear sunscreen and hydrocortisone plus moisturizers

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone has been troubled by itchy skin. Mainly on upper chest back of neck, behind ears and on inner thighs.
It started about a week before I commenced 2nd line Carboplatin/Taxol having been in remission for 6 months. Chemo seems to have exacerbated it and driving me crazy at night mainly when I get hot in bed so not sleeping very well. Seen G P a few times trying antihistamines creams etc which help a little

Exhausted
So I went to a GP who told me that my face is healing well although it takes more time than usual which I find weird. She also referred me to a counsellor. She gave me some antihistamines which thank god make me feel so drowsy so no problems with sleep! These days are being very difficult for me, I decided

Itching!!!
Just wondering if this happens to anyone else? I have a very allergic component to my asthma as well as pretty bad hayfever which triggers asthma and also awful eczema. The eczema hasn't been too bad over the past few months - a few patches of it, soon going with hydrocortisone cream. But not been able

Hypothyroid Queen's drama and fuss, progress with autoimmune and LDN adventures!
This morning I awoke and screeched with laughter - my husband was standing looking puzzled at the bottom of my bed, announcing how very tight his trousers were feeling, and asking my opinion on his appearance. He had of course put on my skinny black jeans convinced they were his. I don't know if it

Vasculitis related?
I have very itchy palms and they are driving me mad! Under the skin are spots which are hard to see - but make my hands feel rough to the touch. I can feel my hands throb sometimes and the palms have reddened. I have been using Dermovate ointment and antihistamine tablets. I don't know what else to

Asthma and chronic insomnia
I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice. I have been asthmatic since I was two or three years old but until this week, I haven't had a flare up since before I was a teenager (I'm 27 tomorrow) so I haven't taken any medications until now. On Monday, my neighbour was cutting my grass for

Feeling a fake
Apparently I only have lymphocytic vasculitis which means that I only get itchy spots. I saw my Dermatologist today and came out feeling a fake and a fool. I just need to use the cream and take antihistamine. My joint pain and extreme tiredness has nothing to do with the type of vasculitis that I have

When and how should I take my vitamin and mineral supplements so as not to interfere with my thyroxin?
Advice please :-) just a couple of questions! 1). I know not to take iron at same time as my levo (T4) as it reduces the effectiveness, but does the same rule apply to T3 too? It was easy to achieve when I was on T4 only. (T4 at bed time and iron/vitamins etc in the morning.) Not sure when to take

What's the deal with this sunshine?
TildaT says: I often get heat rashes on my arms, back and thighs when I'm in hot countries but I've never had one in the UK before. But now, holidaying in Cornwall, I'm covered in a pin prick rash from head to toe and it's really itchy. My toes are all pink and lumpy with it even around the nails so

can antihistamines affect the level of your thyroid please.
I have been taking the odd one now and again when I visit friends with cats, but just lately when I take them, in the next few days I seem to get very depressed and cant shake it off. The suns out for goodness sake and I should be happy, but no, I don't seem to able to shake this down in the dumps feeling

Well, I saw my consultant again today (sort of my consultant, he deals with inpatients and this was my 2nd outpatient with him, but going back to my usual one next week). Overall the appointment was pretty good. I was worried that he would either a) readmit me as Im not wonderful thanks to the pollen
