Internal Bleed. Post Ablation
Hi All. Back to posting my journey 3 and half weeks post ablation. What a ride. I am writing this from a hospital bed which has been my home for the last 6 days. I guess i need to mention Zarelto. It would appear i developed an intestinal bleed probably due to this anticoagulant. I lost blood volume

Hello Forum members, I’m new to this Forum, but not new to PMR. My state-of-play is that I was diagnosed with PMR back in Feb 2015, when I started with Pred. The diagnosis took a while, but we got there in the end and Pred made an almost unbelievable difference once I was on it. I finished with Pred

I posted about 6 months ago that 1 round of FCR nearly killed me. My Hemoglobin dropped to 45 and I needed many transfusions. They decided to abandon treatment and was put back on watch and wait. After my appointment today, all bloods are still in normal range. Hopefully, the 1 round of treatment will

MF transplant - successful stem cell boost
Hi All, Last year I wrote a few posts about my first transplant (MUD) to treat myelofibrosis. It failed to engraft so we tried a second transplant (HAPLO). It too was initially deemed to have failed. On day 130 we attempted a stem cell boost. That is where one gets more stem cells from their donor, like

Hepatitis C from transfusion
Hi all I’m new here. Trying, in vain, to gain more information to put together an appeal to the support system for those diagnosed with Hep C after a contaminated blood transfusion before 1991. There seems to be no medical records of my mums transfusion, which is convenient!!, I’ve also been told because
